Almost 25 years ago, John Fluevog launched the first Angel-Soled Fluevogs into the world! The Angel Soles were immediately deemed by many as the most comfortable soles on the planet. Later, in the early 90s, Angel boots became the cornerstone of the Grunge uniform, inspiring a new fashion movement consisting of flannels and Fluevog boots. Since then, Angels have come in a variety of styles, patterns and colours, being our longest running Family of Fluevogs.
Eight years ago, Angel production was moved to China with the hopes of more consistent production and dependable quality. However, since then, the company has always struggled with longer lead times, high minimums and limited flexibility. John Fluevog Shoes is now thrilled to announce that Angel Production has been moved back to Europe! We are using a familiar factory that is more hands on (literally), and will be able to work with us to be more flexible and produce smaller runs, much like the factories we use for all our other Fluevog Shoes.
In celebration of this Angelic move back to Europe, John is releasing a small run of three familiar styles in a variety of hues and patterns. From Polka Dots to Lace, Acid Wash to coloured Angel Soles. Like all Angels, they are resolable, heavenly to walk on and protect against alkali, water, acid, fatigue and Satan.
