Before our new store in Victoria, BC opens, we thought we should see how much the city has changed since we were there in the 1970s. We enlisted the help of local photographer and outdoors enthusiast @rianplante to show us the best sights Victoria has to offer, StreetVogs style! Here’s a bit about Rian in his own words:
I grew up on Vancouver Island, BC, and recently made the move to Victoria, BC. I had the good fortune to be in and around the forest and mountains from an early age. I started exploring photography in high school, taking photos of my friends mountain biking and skateboarding our local trails, and since then my still and motion work has focused on biking, landscapes, friends, and the life and culture of Vancouver Island. Basically, I’ve just always loved the journey and process of documenting my adventures. I love exploring new places and being outdoors all the time, and I hope to inspire people, through my work, to do the same.
