  • BEST BOOTS EVER

These boots are amazing - just a dream to wear. Depending on Fluevog shoe family, I wear 7.5, 8, or 8.5 -- I am 8 in the Bonds. When I first got these beauties, I was worried because getting my ankle into the footbed was tight; but once my foot was in (thank you, shoehorn!), the fit was great. And obviously, the leather is giving a little with time.

These are super comfortable and look great. I feel like Wonder Woman when I wear them! This style is timeless.

Two thumbs up from this Fluvogger. :)

  • Bond Girl - brown suede

Got these in 8.5 as a gift to myself for the holidays. I love them so much. They are so comfortable and look amazing. I can wear them all day. I was worried I wouldn't be able to fit into the calf, as they say they run a bit on the smaller side, but was happily surprised that they fit. The suede stretches just enough that if you need a little give, you have it. They are now my favorite boots. Highly recommend.

  • Obssesed

I am a size 8 in the Nerds and a size 8.5 in these! Anubis and Monica helped me find the perfect size at the SF location.

I know there were some quality complaints about the sole separating but as of right now these look like great quality,

I have always had wider calves but could never fit them into knee high boots. (14.5/15 in wide). Anubis have a great tip of tipping your leg towards the sky and then zipping up. Worked like a charm.

I love how these boots have a stiffer leather that doesn’t flop over.

Apparently these boots will give just enough to stretch to your calf but that’s it.

    My favorite boots ever!

  • Bond Girl

These boots, are by far the best made boots I've ever owned. I love them so much and have had mine over ten years now. They are tight at first, but form to your foot/leg after about three months of use. They are so incredibly well made and I get compliments all the time. My sole is just now starting to separate from the boot, but Fluevog said they would pay for my cobbler to glue it back. I was ready to buy a new pair, but the 8.5 went quick so now I'm going to try MAXI since they are so similar.

  • Bad Ass Boots

These boots ROCK! Never had a pair of shoes/boots that I've loved so much. Got them in black, need the pinks ones now too. They were a bit difficult to get on at first, but once I did, they fit like a glove. I recommend using a shoe horn.

  • bad customer experience -- defective product

I bought these boots at full price in Montreal. They packed them and handed them to me in the box. When I got them home to Buffalo, I found a defect in the stitching and in the seam trimming. I brought them to a cobbler who could fix the stitching, but the seam trimming, which goes into the stitching can't be fixed. Fluevog initially told me to take them to Boston -- 7 hours to return pricy boots, broken out of the box. That is crazy. Then they told me to go get them fixed myself and they would reimburse me. So, I took time off work to do that (and for all of my many phone calls with stores). Now, I'm waiting for a mailer, and will have to take more time off work or from my weekend to send them to NYC. They will evaluate and either fix or send me new boots.... in about 2 weeks total. I've asked for a discount as this has taken an incredible amount of my time and this is a very pricey purchase. They won't give a discount or in any way compensate me for my troubles. Brand new boots -- can't be worn and have taken up a few hour sof my time. NOT OK.

  • My first pair of Bondgirls, certainly not my last

I've been finding reasons to wear the pink boots since they arrived two weeks ago. I bought them in my usual Fluevog boot size of 9. They were tight in the instep at first but have stretched comfortably with a couple of wears. These are super comfortable. I plan to buy more colors as they are made.

  • Love my boots!

I got these in black for my birthday (2 months ago) and have worn them a lot since then. I was concerned about the negative reviews, but they seem just fine so far. They are super comfortable! I work in retail and my feet are happy all day. I normally wear a 9 in most vogs (8.5 street size) and these are no exception - they feel a little short but my toes have enough space. I have thin calves and these are great - with skinny jeans and short skirts. Love them! (My husband calls them my s***kickers!)

  • Utterly Disappointed

I'm so disappointed in these boots. I've owned Bond Girls and Cece boots for many years and they normally last way longer that 9 months (at least 2 years longer). The heels are separating from the sole on both boots! I've reached out to Fluevog with no response.

I have a hard time justifying such an expense for a pair of boots not to last even a year.

    Sad Vogger over here.

  • Still kicking

Bought mine waaaaaaay back in 2004. they are still going strong. They were made in P❤️land. Knew I would love them forever and I still do. They were about $400+ AUS dollars back then. still get compliments. Starting to get precious about wearing them now though. I was told at the time the sole was replaceable. Hope that is true!

  • Small fit all around

I was so worried about the calf fitting small, I ordered a half size up. By sheer chance the only 10.5 they had left was damaged so I opted for an 11.

Taking them out of the box praying that the calf would fit, I should have started with the foot. These were a nightmare just to get my feet on. All of my other fluevogs fit perfectly at a size 10, size 10.5 when required but I actually had to check the size on these a few times to ensure they were an 11 and not say, a 9.

I finally managed to get my feet In with a lot of elbow grease but wow, I was worried for a bit.

As to the other comments about narrow calves and poor workmanship I don’t see that on these. Stitching looks great and they did up with no trouble at all over my calves.

  • Not as good as the old ones

Bought a pair of Bond girls like 10 years ago that are amazing and have been a comfortable, stylish, and exceptionally well made shoe. I still wear them. Bought the pink Bond girls and they look super cute. I wore them out today. The leather is already peeling off! I only wore them for like four hours. I’ve bought lots of Fluevogs and these are the first pair that have had such shoddy work.

  • Fab!

So happy that these are back!

I bought a pair when I first moved to NYC in 2012 and they have lasted me 5 years of NYC walking, two harsh Canadian winters, and 2+ years of city walking across the pond in London. These boots have treated me well over the 9 years that I have had them. They are super comfortable, I can wear them all day - from work, to dinner, to a gig afterwards - they are versatile and my go-to shoe when I know I have a long day ahead of me.

They are a good quality boot and worth every penny - looking forward to a fresh pair.

  • Best boots with modifications.

I bought the red Bond girl boots over 5 years ago. My sister had been sporting the black ones for some time and I adored them for so long. Knowing the the calf circumference would never fit I purchased them anyway. I brought them to a reputable cobbler who inserted a leather panel that matched perfectly and have been wearing them religiously ever since. They clean up nicely with saddle soap and looked long lived in. Simply my most favorite boot.

  • Tried and True!!

It was about 15 years ago that I purchased my first pair of Bond girls in San Fran, CA. They were my favourite boot because of their ability to be so comfortable (could walk for miles) and the way I felt when I wore them. I could do anything!!

Well fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I sadly realized they were looking a bit worn. I was so happy to discover they were on sale! This week they arrived in the mail. They fit perfect and I am ready to walk for another fifteen years or more! These ones have the buckle detailing which I love as my first ones were plain.

Thanks to Patrick in the Vancouver Granville store for providing excellent service!

  • I loved my 1st bind girl. However, I did have zipper issue, poping open from the bottom after a month, only wearing them indoor at the office; zipper had to be replaced. The repair/sewing was not great..even though it was from a very reputable cobbler/ ocd gal here just sucked it up.

Calf area was tight and did loosen up slightly.

I was excited to purchase my 2nd pair of Bond girl.

Well! After reading all the reviews, I will surely make my decision not to get my 2nd pair of Bond girls.

I am so so sorry for every one who had such a poor quality product in their new Bond girl.

  • Great fitting boot for girls with slender calves

I purchased these boots in Toronto a few days ago after a lengthy search for tall boots that nicely fit my long thin legs. These are very shapely and super comfortable. The exterior leather isn’t the most supple. I hope it will last without cracking. The interior leather lining is very nice and the soles are rugged. All in all, I’m quite pleased with my purchase. I normally wear a size 9.5 but purchased these in a 10.

  • love my Bond Girls

Purchased these lovely seductresses on Fluevog Day in celebration of my 50th birthday. This was my first pair of Fluevogs and I wasn't sure what to expect with sizing and have the added complication of one foot being half a size larger than the other. After speaking with the Minneapolis store (great folks!) I ended up buying a 9.5. Sadly they were uncomfortably short on my longer foot so back they went and the MN folks arranged an exchange with the Chicago store (again a great crew of people!). after agonizing whether or not to go up a full size I opted for a size 10. They came just a few days later, and still felt a little bit short, but after wearing them in the house for the day they really did stretch to be perfect and I'm very happy I didn't go up a full size. In addition, with a couple of days of wearing- the calf, which fit snugly but not uncomfortably, stretched as well. I typically wear a 9 in Dr. Martens and Converse if that helps for size reference for anyone! I am very happy with this purchase; the stitching was perfect, zippers seem pretty stable, and they truly are very comfortable boots. I hope to get many more years of wear out of them.

  • Complete decline in quality

I have a pair of bondgirls bought some 8 years ago. I wore them to death on three continents and they still look amazing. Yesterday I bought a new pair as a backup (when I like something, I stick with it). I returned them today, after I compared the two pairs. The new ones, made in Portugal (old ones made in Poland) are something I’d be happy to find at tj maxx for $100, but not in a fluevog store. The upper is not full grain. I know there are many kinds of cows, but that’s just not full grain. The zipper on one boot does not go all the way up, because the way it was sewn. The front feels weird, like they stretched the leather too much and then painted it. Just terrible craftsmanship, or lack thereof. So sad, I really Iove my bondgirls and my daughter now is starting to ogle them too. Instead I bought a pair of estrelitas, which are lovely. Shame though the quality of the bondgirl boot declined so much.

  • bond girl boots

I had just discovered this boot style and fell in love with it. As is my habit I started checking the quality and was dismayed. I wanted the black and loved the detailed cream top stitching. It's a really nice touch , unfortunately the sew job was awful. The seams were far from straight. $400.00 for crooked stitching. Please Fluevog I love your shoes, but your quality control must improve. I'll keep waiting and watching, looking hoping to find a nicely sewn pair

  • GOOD KILT BOOTS

I bought a burgundy pair in size 11. These are really nice, but the instep is very tight, and i needed the cobbler to stretch them out just so i could get my feet in without huffing and puffing for 10 minutes. The narrow calf is no joke, either, as mine barely fit.

  • Upset

This is my second pair of Bond Girls. My first pair I wore to death... they lasted 5 years. I bought a pair again last winter season and have barely worn them. They had been uncomfortable inside. When I had a good look at them last night, I realised that in this short period of time, the inner leather at the heel is destroyed and the internal plastic that supports the rear of the heel is totally disintegrating. I am so disappointed. I don't live in a country with good shoe repairers and these are expensive boots that should last beyond this. I have never encountered anything like this before with the many Fluevog shoes I have and have to wonder if this is a quality assurance issue.

  • Love my Bond girl boots

I bought my black Bond girls in Seattle in 2010, and I LOVE them! To this day they are the best boots I've ever had. The leather lining, fun style, and comfy fit are perfect for me. Sigh...if only I could get them in brown. I'm looking for brown boots with a zipper all the way up the inside, and I hope I find some Vogs that fit the bill.

They are snug around the calf, but I have small legs so they are perfect for me. The toe box is generous and I can wear them with comfy socks. I still get compliments on my Vogs, even after 6 years.

  • Beautiful leather, close fitting in the calves!

I love these boots, but even with my thinner legs, I have challenges with the calves tight fitting. They are gorgeous red, patina leather and look fantastic on! Great look and incredibly neutral color for being red!

  • So sad!

I bought these boots years ago and have spent time and money on trying to get the calves stretched out. I CAN get them zipped up and have been able to do so since day 1, so I thought that it wouldn't be a big deal to get them stretched a bit more for comfort.

No easy task as it turns out! They just will not stretch out enough (tried on my own, cobblers, etc.). I have about 13.5" calves so this should not be an issue. When I wear them my legs get tired because the calf muscle flexes as I walk and then the boot is too tight.

Wish Fluevog would do something about this....until then, my wonderful boots sit in my closet.

P.S. This is probably my 20th pair of vogs.

  • Disappointment

I love these boots. I have them in red, size 8. So I ordered them in black, size 8. Fluevog have sent me boots with a size 6 on them. They are far too small. They are claiming they have sent me a men's size 6, except that this is a women's boot - they have clearly sent me a women's size 6 and are trying to wriggle out of replacing them and covering my postage (it is their mistake). I am so disappointed - I have been a fan of this brand for a long time, and this is a terrible letdown.

I bought my Bondgirl boots a number of years ago. I wear them all through winter...even riding my bike in T.O. I do not take care of them and yet they are still BEAUTIFUL! Cannot believe how well they have lasted....best investment on winter boots ever!

  • Worst boots ever

I bought my Bond girl boots years ago. Every year go through same process. Am told to wear them in have even taken them in to fluevog store at least 6 times to stretch/soften the leather. Same results - leather is rigid, uncomfortable and hurt my feet/legs. Spent a small fortune to have a pair of boots that sit in a closet. Very disappointed !!!!

  • The greatest boots ever made.

Simply put, Fluevogs' Bond Girls are the best boots ever made. I've had mine over 5 years and they work onstage and off, uphill and down, skirts, pants, bikinis - anything. Break them in, it's so worth it. Thank you, John!

  • Poor quality and even poorer customer service

I've purchased these boots twice in my lifetime. The first pair I literally wore into the ground, they were the best pair of boots I'd ever owned! I purchased my second pair in Montreal, just over a year ago and have had nothing but problems. I'm incredibly tired of having to take pictures of my boots, tell my story to numerous workers for Fluevog and see no results. It's all very good to make a stylish piece of footwear but stand behind your product! So disappointed in the quality and even more disappointed in the incompetence of some of the staff. I'm a very sad Fluevogger...

  • Poor Quality

I have two other pairs of Fluevogs that I have had for over 10 years. Love them to bits. I recommended my sister buy a pair when she was in the market for a pair of good quality boots. She purchased these, at no small expense. Since then, both zippers have broken, and stitching has split during regular wear. Now I feel guilty, and despite loving the look of Fluevogs, I don't plan on making any future purchases, as I see this isn't the only complaint over quality.

  • Four Years in, Giving them Up

I love, and have loved, my Bond Girl boots since I first saw them, more than four years ago. When I bought them they were tight in the calves. "They'll stretch!" said the sales staff. "Use a stretching solution!" And so I did, and so they did, and it was love. I wore them winter 1 and winter 2. Winter 3 came and I couldn't get them on. I used a stretching solution. They cut off the circulation in my calves. I felt like I was going to pass out while walking to try to stretch them out. Winter 4 came and I couldn't zip them up. I took them to a boot stretcher. He said he probably couldn't stretch them to the degree that I need. He tried. I can get them up. They cut off the circulation in my legs; if I walk around feeling lightheaded and tight-legged for a few hours, they stretch and I can wear them through the day, but tomorrow it's the same. I can't do it anymore.

I am heartbroken. These are really the only boots I want.

For the record, I am not a "big girl" - take a size 2/4 in pants, and would never have thought I had huge calves.

  • Took awhile, but I love these boots!

These boots definitely fit narrow in the calf, and need a lot of breaking in before they feel comfortable. I had to get the calves stretched a bit so I could get them on without trouble, but after wearing them for a couple of hours a day for a couple of weeks they are really comfortable now. The top of the arch also fits snugly but wears in well. I have wider feet and the square toe shape is perfect for me. Also like the large treads and the super strong zipper. I get lots of compliments on these boots wherever I go!! They fit like they were made for me now and I LOVE them!

  • Life, death and reincarnation

I bought these boots in pink with cherry red stitching 12? years ago. I wore them out of the store as they were the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I had a severe car accident and during my 8 long years of rehabilitation they were the only things I could put on my feet and feel safe walking about. I was distressed when I discovered that there was no matching polish to fix the scuffs made by the black soles and my cane and they went to the closet of death. I was't quite ready to mourn them so brought them to the Gastown store to see if there wasn't a solution. Your lovely staff suggested that I have them dyed. I chose cherry red and I am beyond ecstatic to wear them in this incarnation! Me and my Vogs both have a new lease on life!

  • Love the boot HATE the quality

So I walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. That is because I live in San Francisco and really the easiest way for me to get around is my bike, which I use sometimes, but I still choose to walk. I am now on my 3rd, yes 3rd pair of BondGirl boots since 2008 and these are just about due for replacement. I was even married in my first pair. The quality of these boots is really poor! They look though but they come no where close to the quality of boots like Frye but then again I LOVE the style and comfort, while they last.

The zippers have broke, the lining breaks down quickly, don;t let someone accidentally step on your foot at a concert because you will have a dent in your boot for the rest of it's life...and that dent might just rub on your toe.

I really do love my Fluebogs but I have been looking for something else I like to replace them as my go to footwear but I am still looking and I need to find it soon or I will be on my 4th pair. You really do think these boots would last better than they do.

  • I have big calves. It can be done.

As I said above, I have big calves. (I just got out a tape measure so I can provide actual data, 18", it turns out.)

I have loved these boots for years and always wanted a pair. I didn't think that they could be stretched enough to accommodate my lovely shapely calves, and then a friend of mine with even bigger calves did it.

As soon as I saw these boots in my size in the color (green) I had really wanted on Fluemarket, I jumped at them.

I wear an 10.5 in most shoes, and the 11 fits perfectly (I can wear thicker socks if I like even). I've had them on my feet with the calves sprayed down with 50% rubbing alcohol/50% water now for a couple of hours and I only have an inch or so of stretching left to do. I figure over the next few days, I will get them to where I need them to be.

So if you want these and are worried about the calf width, it can be dealt with. You just need a little patience.

  • Love the style, craftsmanship breaks my heart

I love my Bondgirl boots. They look tough but are incredibly delicate. After a few weeks the inner lining was torn. After 6 months the insoles went and needed to be replaced. After a year I needed to have both zippers replaced (grateful to have an old Italian show repair shop nearby who did both for $40). I've had the soles re-glued several times. One of the top leather straps came in suede while the other three were boot leather (manufacturing error?) Don't beat these boots up. They look and feel amazing, but they aren't made to last. In my mind Fleuvog could really improve their craftsmanship and materials. They aren't inexpensive. I still love them though....

  • Super narrow in the foot, No room for arches

So, I love the way these boots look, but they fit super small. I don't have problems with the calf- I have small calves - 13.5", so they pretty much zip up real snug, but I tried the 9 and 9.5 and they're both really hard for me to get my feet in- if you have any kind of arches you can forget it. They're really narrow and have no room for arches. I'm going to see if I can get them stretched, but I'm worried that it won't help and then I'll have $450 boots that I can't return and can't wear.

  • Just Your Everyday Superspy...

These were recommended to me when I was perusing the Minneapolis store on vacation a few months back. I had gone in looking at the 7th Heaven Angela's because I work retail and need black, closed-toe, closed-heel shoes that won't kill my feet and back after an 8-hour shift. The Angelas were terribly uncomfortable, stiff, and cut into my ankles, so these were recommended. The calf was a perfect fit on me, though I have notoriously *fluevog calves* (the widest my calves have ever been was 15.5". These loosened up a little bit after a week, but they zip up with ease and don't cut into my leg or anything. The only complaint I had about them was that the ankle leather was very stiff at first, and my Achilles tendon was very sore the first week I wore them from the stiffness and pressure. That's since subsided and these are a pleasure to wear every day!

  • Very disappointed to discover after 4 months of wearing my Bond Girls with care, that the inner lining of the heel on both boots are shot, & the heel structure was not placed correctly, & wiggles. I have holes in the lining, & was told by my cobbler that the leather used to line the boot is "poor", & the heel is wrong. I have to pay to have restructure done to save these boots. Disappointed in the quality considering I've owned my CeCe's far longer, 6 years, with no show of wear until 2 years ago, the craftsmanship has decreased. Sucks to have to take your Vog's to the clobber after 4 months.

  • Gondi Girl

I purchased my very first pair of Fluevog's (*Bondi Girl)'s for my birthday 2 years ago. When I wore them, heads turned and I can't even begin to tell you how many people complimented the boots and asked where I got them. I felt like a Rock Star!

.... The dream suddenly came to an end this year, almost to the 2 yr anniversary date, the zipper on the left boot came open from the bottom up.

I was shocked to say the least, since the zippers & sliders appear to be pretty HEAVY DUTY. It's part of their charm... or so I thought.

I contacted the Fluevog store where I purchased them in Toronto Canada, and they said I would have to have them repaired at my own expense, since it is considered regular wear & tear.

    REALLY???

I can understand if I wore them mountain climbing or fighting third world wars, but I wear them at work (in an insurance office).... Believe it or not, I don't exactly "tear" around in them at the office.

I loved the boots so much, that I decided to go ahead and have them repaired... and on the day I was about to take them in, the right boot took a same turn for the worse, and blew it's zipper in the exact same spot (from the bottom up).

It is now costing me $96. to have both zippers replaced.

WAIT! The story gets worse... the cobbler didn't have the Large zippers or sliders to replace the ones that were on the boots originally, so they have replaced them with run of the mill, average zippers (for $96.!!?? REALLY??)

    I give up.

I learned a lesson though. I won't spend $400. on another pair of Fluevog's (that have a life expectancy of approximately 2 years due to wear and tear around an insurance office), that's for sure.

Thanks for 24 months of joy Mr. Fluevog. It was almost worth it..... almost.

  • Awesome Boots But...

I ordered these boots in November and got them shortly after Thanksgiving. They fit like a glove and are amazingly comfortable. I put them on right out of the box and, due to a family emergency, didn't get the chance to take them off for 22 hours. No blisters, no rubbing, just awesomeness. Until today when the zipper split on the left boot from the bottom up. I nearly cried. These Bondgirls are only six weeks old, they should be just beginning their career of crime-fighting and butt-kicking. (:`(

i have a pair of these boots that i bought in 1996. they are still going strong, but i have worn them so much that i have stretched them out. they are Amazing! should i repeat?, amazing!!! they were a bit small to begin with. i bought up a size. now that they have stretched out....was that such a wise idea? my foot is sliding around more then it should be. alas, i need a new pair and i can't believe there is an oxblood color added! what is a girl to do?

  • Who DOESN'T want to be a Bond girl?

I love, love, love my Bond girl boots. Yes the calves are super small. I have almost 15" calves and these needed help. Most/all Fluevog boots are NOT made for a big calf girl like me but you just have to be patient. I have since invested in my own boot stretcher so that I can always wear a Fluevog boot. Yes it took 2 weeks - one per boot but I was super careful to stretch slowly. These are kick-ass boots and my all-time favs!!! BTW my girlfriend asked if I minded that she bought a pair too and so we are both Bond girls!!!!

  • Not bad for an old girl.

It was love at first sight and I was able to get these here in Australia!YAY! But Bad news though - way too tight in the calves!! A common problem - yes? So, some advice to all you would be Bondboot girls: PERSEVERE! I looked on youtube and saw an English cobbler stretching out riding boots by 2". This gave me hope so I rang about 10 bootmakers here in Oz and they all said "no love - it can't be done- not 2" Geez! We will need to either cut, pull apart...." ("destory" me thinks!#!) While this crazy drama was unfolding I wore my boots everyday, always pulling the zip up gently, a few teeth at a time with a wire coathanger threaded in the puller upper bit (saves much finger pain). Black Leggings hid the gap which was about 3"long and a bit less than 2" gaping. Four days later TADAAH! They zip to the top. First morning out with black tights and a long cardi, a woman came charging up to me at my kid's school:"I just want to tell you what killer boots you have. I was thinking the other day that I was too old to wear knee high boots but you look amazing! I gotta have a pair!". Now I am 45 years old but feel 21! I think the boots and I have a symbiotic relationship. We worked patiently together to achieve mutual satisfaction. A little pain and effort on both sides but worth it. So, don't give up ladies and don't always listen to silly old cobblers. Shoe elves and fairies do exist I think.

PS:Keith from the LA store-you deserve a pay rise for you suppotive emails to me. Thanks!

  • Will there be more Bond Girl boots?

I was excited to order another pair of Bond Girl boots today but did not see my size. Will there be more sizes available any time soon? (Please say YES!) I have been wearing this style of boot for about 10 years and am ready for my third pair. I should mention I wear them almost everyday for both work- standing on a cement floor- and for play - standing on a cement floor. With the amount of wear and tear they have endured my boots still look fine, but the inner workings have seen their better day. Please keep making the Bond Girl boots as I would really hate to see them go the way of the tall laced Derby Swirl Angel boot or the tall laced F-Boots (I miss both of those too.)

  • Don't stop!

From the lack of available sizes, it looks as though the company is phasing out the Bond Girls and the Ceces. I hope this is just a temporary shortage, not a shift to other styles. • Classic-to-be

I have loved Fluevogs since my fist pair of tall Angels waaaaay back in the 90's (still have those boots, by the way. Vogs are built to last!) After obsessing over these Bondgirls in black online last year, convinced they had to be my new winter boot, I ordered online without even trying them on. I generally order a half size up than I could really fit into because I can't stand a clausterphobic foot- but these are so roomy and comfy I could've gone smaller. Now a year later, I still get compliments on my "new" boots, despite wearing them quite alot and being pretty active & generally wearing through shoes quickly. In fact, my slim friend (who like me has a hard time finding boots that don't float on her legs) sheepishly admitted that she'd bought the exact same pair after seeing mine! The thing I love about these is how comfortable they are- broke in immediately, roomy in the toe box, warm, can stomp around all day, great traction- yet they are still slim and fabulous. In fact, now that the Adriana Lunas came out (and I started pining for a pair in brown) I had half a second of wondering if I should've waited for those instead- but I just don't think the comfort of the Bondgirl could be matched! Sigh, looks like I'll just have to start saving for another pair...

I can't even tell you when I bought these boots, maybe 10 years ago?....what I do know is they still look like I bought them yesterday. In fact, just last week two people told me they were going to steal them. These are my all time favorite boots. I have 4 other pairs of Fluevog boots (which I adore) but these boots far and away get the most compliments. If you are looking for a long term investment in some fantastic boots, go for it!!! ]:o)

  • Bond Girl for Life

These boots were purchased in in 2003 which makes them almost 9 years old. They get better every second that I have them. I have worn them in the snow, sun, rain and wind. They are everything that is cool and right in the world. I will continue to wear them until they explode off my feet. I imagine when the apocalypse comes I will wear these boots into the bowels of the forest where I will survive on berries and mushrooms until a new society is born.

I've had these puppies for 5 years and wear them every day in winter, and sometimes in the Spring/Fall. Two things to such great love is caring for them. Let them dry out in the open every night, and treat them to some polish every once in a while. Do not attempt puddles, but if you do, just let them really dry out, and you'll be surprised. I love the fit and the boot is my one true love

The moment the woman at the NY store slipped the burgundy Bond Girls on my feet, I knew they had to be mine. I was slightly worried about committing to wear them for the first time on a very stompy weekend, but they were insanely comfortable and I did a LOT of walking. • love 'em but had some problems twice

I love the boot and get compliments all the time, but had some issues that I think should not be there with such a pricey (at least for a public school teacher!) boot.

The first pair, after only a few months the stitches came out. Fluevog was great and repaired it for me, but the stitching came out again soon after. Again Fluevog was awesome and they gave me a new pair! There is a small issue with the zipper handle on one boot locking in a weird "out" position but I can deal with that.

However sadly, after about 6 months or possibly a bit more, the calves on both boots are overly stretched. I know they naturally would stretch some, but I feel "gappy" and they don't feel or look right. This does not seem like an easily fixed issue- I don't think you can unstretch a boot. :(

I have two other pairs of Fluevogs with no issues, so I am pretty bummed out- especially since this is my favorite pair.

  • Best Boots Ever

I bought these boots about 7 or 8 years ago in light pink, then a year later another pair in black. The calves were very tight at first, but stretched quickly. They are the greatest boots I have ever owned. I can walk around the city all day in them and not only are they comfy, but they look great. I love these boots. And they've held up to my tough wear the whole time.

  • Oh no

I have been coveting Fluevogs for years and finally bit the bullet and bought two pairs, including a pair of wine Bondgirls. I'm a size 7.5 normally and the 7.5 is extremely difficult to get my feet into, and while the calves are snug, they look and feel fantastic. My big problem though is the same as one comment below - the very first time I tried them on a tooth fell out of the very bottom of one of the zips and now I get a blow out within minutes of wearing them. Difficult to fix because it fell out so close to the zip. A bit sad. Hopefully less sad with my Giulias.

  • Been looking at these boots for awhile. Took awhile to break in, mainly around the house just in case i needed to return them (sales rep said no refund on outside wear). Took awhile and a lot of bandages, but they finally broke it, though if i wear them for over an hour, i do get a bit of a blister...

And it seems my toes get squished when i'm going downhill, but i assume that's normal with sliding around in the shoe.

Was a little miffed when they didn't have my size (women's 7) in stock, so i had to get it shipped from their main store, and they charged me the shipping costs.

Still, all in all, a very nice boot.

  • Love them! But..

As a native Vancouverite I have been wearing Fluevogs for 20+ years. I purchased my Bondgirl boots last year and they are still my favorites. Nice slims calves for my legs. However, the sole of the boot began to split (where it naturally bends in the middle) a couple of months after I got them. :-( My girlfriend has the exact same boot and hers split in the same spot about the same time frame.

I love these boots but the soles do not seems strong enough. I have a pair of Fluevog boots from 20 years ago that has survived the test of time. Ironically, Bondgirl doesn't look like she'll make it very long.

  • Love them but I'm sad!

I regret that my 16 year long devotion to Fluevog is in question over a purchase I made of a pair of Bondgirls in a delicious wine hue. I love these boots SO much and wear them as often as I can, but just like a previous commenter, within the first two months of wearing them I had to bring them in because the zipper on the right boot blew out at the very bottom. Now, five months later, the left boot is having the same trouble. I'm hoping when I bring them in that the store will replace the zipper without charging me for the repair (they said the boots were still under warranty last time, but I'm concerned that it's been 7 months now), but more than that I'm hoping that you will ask your suppliers to improve the quality of the zippers so this doesn't happen to other people.

I have been a Fluevog devotee since I bought my first pair of oxblood knee high Angel boots when I was 16. I expect these shoes to last for years and years given the promised quality and the price. I'm so sad that I have to keep bringing these in for repairs, mostly because it means up to 2 weeks without wearing my favorite pair of boots! :-(

  • I want these...

I tried these boots on at Gravity Pope in Calgary. I had asked for a size 7. The clerk brought me a 5 telling me that that's the UK size for 7 in the US. The calf did not fit at all. I was wondering if the sizing is right... I previously posted this comment to the wrong boot

    Greg

The Bondgirls are marked in UK sizing, (UK+2=Women's size), so you might have gotten the right size. However, the calves in this boot are very narrow, but can be stretched significantly (up to 2"). You might want to bring them back to the store, and see what the staff can do to make them more comfortable/stretch them for you.

  • skinny legs and all

Well, all of these reviews are not kidding on two counts: 1) these are totally hot boots, and 2) they are very, very slim in the calf. I'm quite petite and have slender-yet-athletic legs, and had to have them stretched before I could even dream of zipping them completely. I'm still in the phase where I'm wearing them around the house for a few more minutes every day. I continue to have faith that the rest of these reviews are true and I'll be able to wear them without feeling my pulse eventually, and I look forward to that. The things we do for beauty....

I bought my Bondgirls in 2005 and have worn them at least twice a week ever since. They are still the most comfortable boots I've ever owned and they fit like a glove. I've kept them well-polished, and after 6 years of solid wear, all they need are some in-soles and a minor repair on the buckle. I love these boots!

Just be honest with yourself about your calf/foot size. I've got medium width feet and fairly muscular calves, and these babies hug my legs like a second skin. Note the calf measurements on the description and measure before you buy.

Just bought these in a size 8. Lovely and look awesome on. Warning: these boots are only for those with narrow feet and small calfs. I have a very narrow foot, A or double A (it's been a while since I had them measured) and I have a tough time getting my foot in the boot and the boot is snug around my calfs which are 33cm at the thickest. So these tall beauties are perfect for me but not for everyone.

  • Not everything I'd hoped for

After reading so many fabulous reviews, and my friend who swears by her own pair I bought myself a pair last February. I have "athletic calves" (read: large) so I had to get the boot stretched to fit comfortably.

My problem is the zipper on one of the boots bursts open every so often about 3 months into owning the boot (randomly but not always) -- I later put them into storage for the summer and brought them back out this winter, and the issue became worse because the zipper would burst the moment I put the boot on and stood. I'm guessing the leather has also tightened up without use over the summer is what made the situation worse.

I did bring the boots in for warranty, and unfortunately it has not solved the issue. So not only am I out $390 (tax), I had the worse experience with the rep who I dropped off and picked my shoes up from. It's nice to know you're only a valued customer when you are buying.

While I still think the shoes look great, they don't do me much good sitting on the rack. My advice, unless the boot fits you perfectly with little stretching required, I would consider getting a shorter boot if you won't be wearing it all year round to keep them soft. While I won't be shopping with Fluevog anymore, my friend still loves her pair, so that's got to be something right?

Hi LL, sorry to hear about your circumstance. We don't have a contact for you, so please give us a shout, we'd like to talk with you and see if we can't help out.

  • I was on a quest for a pair of boots that could handle my busy schedule of biking, walking, and generally being awesome without falling apart. These boots seemed perfect--but they wouldn't zip up.

Taking a long leap of faith, I trusted the salesperson who told me she could stretch them. When I came back to the store, the zippers were still about half an inch from the top. She told me to wear them around, and as the leather warmed up, that last half an inch succumbed and the boots were mine!

I didn't find these comfortable to wear for about three weeks, but now they're perfect. Every time I put them on I feel like a superhero.

  • Stretch `em

I found a pair of Bond girl boots in a resale shop for under $100. They hadn`t even been broken in. I could barely get the zipper over my calves, so I resolved to eat more salad, because I wasn`t leaving without them. The salad thing didn`t work out and I felt like I was going to end up with major circulatory issues so I caved and reluctantly brought them to be stretched.

I was afraid the boots were going to be ruined, but they are perfect.

My message ... even if you can`t get the zipper to the top don`t hesitate to have them stretched by a reputable shoe repair person. My boots were stretched a whole inch in the calves and they are fine.

  • Not for Athletes

There are super awesome looking. I fell in love, but we were not compatible.

They fit perfectly except around my calves. I tried size 9 which fitted fine on the foot, except my around my 16" calves it was almost a 2" gap that would bust the seams if they were stretched. The F-soles would have been awesome. I thought with those buckles at the top, John would have designed them to be accommodating for those with bigger calves by being able to cinch down the buckles or let 'em loose.

It almost makes me wish I didn't do backcountry skiing or biking so I'd have slimmer calves to wear these hot boots.

    >-) Ooooh yer. Bring em on. These boots ARE made for walkin' (and strutting and leaning and sitting and just generally lookin' good and feeling awesome).

I am an English speaker living in a Cantonese speaking country and when complete strangers who struggle with English come up to me on the streets and say, 'I like your boots, where can I buy?', I know I have hit a pretty special look that shakes some tail.

I love the fact that I can wear these with short or long skirts, short or long pants, tuck the pants in or not...versatile, tough and sexy! Love to wear them with a pretty frock as well just to down-girly those frills! Any wonder these boots are so popular and are a long standing style for John Fluevog! No breaking in time either - just unwrapped the pack and put 'em on!

Absolutely painless and abolutely pleasurable purchasing over the internet (Thanks Chad!)Now I'm a-lookin' for my 6th pair of Fluevogs to treat my feet to absolute luxury and my ego to attention!

  • Unofficially Unisex

As a guy who prefers boots to shoes, it didn’t take much online shopping to learn that women have many more choices than men for tall boots.

Knew I was on the right track when I discovered that the Fluevog site offered an entire Unisex Styles section. Then I browsed on over to the Women’s section and found several other appealing tall boots.

My first purchase, the Alexis equestrian, is a beautiful tall black boot but the largest size (Women’s 12) was way too tight for me. So I gave them to a friend who found they fit well with thick socks. Truthfully, they look better on her than they did on me.

Then I found the brown Bondgirl model and decided to look past the non-unisex name to the boot itself, and try the size 13. Surprisingly, they are stamped with Size 11, possibly a man’s size (?), inside the shaft. These fabulous “engineer style” boots sport 16 inches of great supple leather rising from the super comfy F Sole built for striding through life. One was a bit snug until I followed the advice of Dustin in the Chicago store to wear them with wet socks, which stretched them at the pressure points. Thanks, Dustin!

While I wear them for my own enjoyment, it doesn’t hurt that several ladies have complimented my new boots. Now if only I knew, is it the Vogs, or the guy rocking them...

  • 8 months but I found you. <3<3<3

I am so glad I stopped by the site two weeks ago and I was so happy to see that the Bondgirl came in Wine. I have wanted a pair of red boots since the tail end of last winter. I bought the boots in my average size 9.5 and they fit so well! I have a calf that is about a half inch bigger than the calf of the boot but Leah at the Seattle store was so kind and told me to just wear them rather than taking them to be stretched! She was spot on with her statement and my boots have stretched to accommodate my calf size! This is my first pair of Fluevog shoes but I always peek at the site when I get the desire to look at boots. I doubt these will be my last.

I have only worn these boots three times since I got them last week but each day I got stopped and complimented over my Bondgirls and asked where they came from. Go John!

  • tough and sweet

These boots saved my life at Burning Man. All my other (more expensive)boots fell apart & died on the playa (non fluevogs mind you),but the bond girls had my back. I wore them most of the the week and they were like new when I got home and cleaned them. Thank you Fluevog for making a boot that is cute and quality. They are so worth the money & I will only wear fluevogs from now on.

  • License to Chill

I'm a somewhat of a regular at the NYC store, and there was a bit of a kerfuffle when I admitted that I didn't have the Bondgirls yet. Despite assurances that they would quickly become one of my favorite pairs of Vogs, I put this staple boot to the side in favor of other styles. It wasn't until they appeared in green that I realized the staff had been right all along. From the moment I zipped them up, I felt like they had been made for me. I usually take an 8.5 in Fleuvogs, but the 8 fit my feet and calves like a glove. A big, tough, stompy glove. They're not quite office-wear, but I wish I could wear them every day!

  • any hints?

I bought these boots in SF in about 2001. I loved them like they were my first born and they were worn in well and fit great. However, I moved to England in 2003 and it appears being in the baggage hold for 12 hours did something bad to them, and now they are too tight! (I'm the same weight, so it's not having fatter feet!) Yes it is 7 years later and I can't wear them but can't part with them either. Any help to make them fit again??

  • love them

I just bought these boots in red. I love them. I was worried because I had read the reviews about the boots being too tight on the calves for those of us blessed with athletic calves. I tried them on anyways, in my normal size and of course they were too tight around my calves - over an inch. They stretched them for me and they fit perfectly now. @>-

  • I am officially, now a super hero

I love, love, love my Bond Girl boots! I'm not sure what shoes I wore before I got them, because I found a way to wear them every single day from December until April, when it became flip flop weather. And it was only reluctantly that I took them off, because I can save the world in these boots. Granted, I haven't been asked to yet, but I know I could, and that's all that counts. They are so comfortable on the inside and so "don't mess with my high-fashion ass on the outside. And that is soooo important at PTA meetings and the grocery store.

  • I hope the replacements are better

I just ordered my first pair of Fluevogs. They were Bond Girl boots and cost $328 with tax. When they arrived, I noticed the stitching around the zipper on the left boot was really wacky - the stitches were uneven, crooked, and stitched over 3 times in some places. It looked like something a little kid or a drunk person might have done. Inside the boot was a purple post-it note with the notation "Bond Girl with Busted Zipper x2." There was also a Fluevog invoice from January stating that the Boot had two broken zippers. I guess they sent me a returned boot that had been repaired.

I was furious - that is seriously wrong for $328. That's more than I have ever spent on shoes before. If I need expensive shoes, I am sticking with Frye boots from now on - they're cheaper than Fluevogs and the quality is amazing.

  • ()-) ]:o) I love these boots. When they first came out with them almost a decade ago, I got a pair of black ones -- I wear them every chance I get. Now, with the wine color, I could not resist getting a second pair. I ordered the last pair of size 8 wine Bond Girls left in the USA from the New York store -- they arrived 2 days ago and I am in love. They are beautiful. They fit my muscular legs. They are comfortable right out of the box. Pics do not do these boots justice......

  • Ughhh so tight

I bought these shoes in a size bigger than I normally would (9.5 US)

But unfortunately I have large calves of 16 inches and there was no way i could get my wide feet and large calves into these boots.

If you buy these make sure you have skinny legs. :/

  • Best. Boot. Ever.

Got my black Bondgirls three days ago and haven't taken them off yet, and have received oodles of compliments!!! They fit PERFECTLY out of the box and were immediately comfortable--the most comfortable boots I've ever worn, period. I feel like the world's biggest badass stomping around in these beauties. Best. Boots. Ever.

  • Just had to have them...

I saw these boots and just fell in love with them. Normally I wear a size 6 but bought 6.5 because I have big calves - also I find the ankle portion fits tighter. They still didn't fit but I was determined so I had Fluevog Queen start the stretching process. I was having to go back a couple of times because my calves are 15.5". DID I MENTION HUGE CALVES? Anyhow I finally decided to get my own stretcher and do it myself and after a week THEY FIT! They are awesome boots, great leather that endured the stretching and look great with a short skirt. So worth it!

I waited and waited and waited until I couldn't wait any longer. This was my 8th pair of Fluevogs and my second pair of knee high boots. I have them in wine. I abso-frickin-lutely love these!! I could wear them all day, every day & then go home and sleep in them. I don't have a single, solitary complaint. Everything about them is perfection!

  • BondGirls ROCK!!

I got my Bondgirls a couple of weeks ago and have to say, they have quickly become my FAVOURITE THING to wear. They look especially slammin' with black tights and short A-line skirts, and I feel very badass in them. I'm a tall girl but these boots still come to just below my knee, so they had to be stretched to accommodate my (cyclist/yogini) calves, so fair warning if you have muscular calves. I feel like a superhero in these boots and hope that they will last me a very long time!!! ()-)

  • I tried the Bondgirls on in the Chicago store a couple of years ago, but decided they weren't quite what I wanted so I didn't buy them. Then, a few months ago, I walked into the LA store with the intent of picking up a different pair, but since they didn't have my size in that style, I tried on the Bondgirls again and decided I simply had to have them. So far I'm more than happy with them; they required no break-in period, fit great, and look good with practically everything in my closet AND they match my furniture and my motorcycle. Though the bike has a minor complaint; the zipper on the left boot has managed to scratch the finish above the shift lever. After I noticed that I carefully polished the sharp edge off the zipper with a very, very fine emery board so it won't scratch my bike again.

  • Today my boots died. I have owned them for eight years. In that time I replaced the soles once, and had the stitching redone twice. Till the end they look awesome with everything that I owned. They were also the most comfortable of shoes, and worn for endurance as I made my way through countless twelve hour shifts as a bartender. All and all, they were the best boots I have ever owned, and they will be missed, incredibly. RIP Bond. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to afford another pair of you.

  • I've had these for several years and they are my absolute favorite boots! I get compliments every time I wear them, and they match everything in my wardrobe. They are also in great condition (thanks to my husband's polishing- he wants me to add). As for the calf circumference thing, my calves are 15 inch approximately and I have 8 1/2 and they still zip up all the way- but they have probably stretched to fit me over time, I guess. They are a bit tight to zip up over jeans though- I usually just wear them with skirts. The only thing, at least for me, is that I can't really wear them to work, they are a bit too funky and street-style for my line of work- but at least that's another excuse to buy a different pair of fluevogs to wear to work! I wear these pretty much every day outside of work though. A total winner- you won't be disappointed.

  • Got nothing but love for the Bond Girl

Bought my Bond Girl in wine while my Sugars were out for repair. The Bond Girl were snug in the calves, but they stretched out in the course of a week or so with daily wear and started racking up compliments everywhere I went as soon as I wore them out of the store.

I've owned a pair of these boots since 2005 and they are seriously my favorite boots ever. I've stomped all over the US and Europe in them and they are still going strong. They look tough, are super comfortable, and are still in super condition. Thanks Fluevog!

  • Sorry, Raaya, women with pencil-sized calves were out of luck long before it was trendy to wear boots over jeans. I am so grateful to find a pair of attractive and detailed boots with a less than 14" circumference! I bought a pair while on vacation and though it took both my birthday and Christmas money, the quality is worth the investment.

These boots are fabulous! Yay! My third pair of *vog's* and first pair of boots. As a teacher, I am on my feet all day; these boots (like all my Fluevogs) are incredibly comfortable -- no sore feet, no sore back, etc. Plus.. they are very, very tough looking. • I love these boots, but I was really upset that they didn't fit my calves. I had to take them to my cobbler to be stretched, and, while I can wear them now, they are still so tight that there's no chance of wearing them with skinny jeans. I love Fluevogs, but come on, not everyone has calves the size of pencils!

  • Love them!

I needed black boots for work this winter. I found the Bondgirls at Heart and Sole (here in Victoria). As others have mentioned the calves were a tight fit. At first I was devastated when I couldn't do them up, but the super nice salesman suggested I hang out for a bit and let the leather warm up. Sure enough, after ten minutes (of helping him unpack a box of new arrivals - sweet torture!), the leather was warm and soft and fit like a snuggly glove. I've worn them everyday for over nine hours and still my feet feel great. Now they zip up no problem!

    Heaven. :-B

  • These boots are fabulous!

These bond girl boots are my 3rd pair of fluevogs and I'm not done yet! They are simply fabulous with both jeans and skirts and I am LOVING them so much. I was a little apprehensive at 48 if they were too young for me, but went for them anyhow, and wear them no less then 3 or 4 times a week now! I had a little issue with a different pair of fluevog boots that I bought initially and I have to say that dealing with the Gastown store, the customer service (Amanda) was above and beyond any expectation I had - bravo Fluevog!!!!

These are really well made shoes, and cute but ohhh the calves. They are so tight! Being a thin woman I wouldn't expect any problem, but I can't even zipper these. I have 14 inch calves and they are way too big for these shoes. So sadly I have to return them :(

Everytime I come back over the Atlantic to visit family and friends I pay a visit to the local Fluevog shop - please remedy this with a shop in Glasgow, you'd be recieved with open arms!!! - and this time I fell in love with the wine red Bond Girl. My mum offered to buy them for me as a 'please visit more often' bribe but I've been working hard for my Fluevog fix, so I bought them for me and convinced her to treat her 70 year old feet with a pair of Vogs. She tried on Wearevers Gracias (in Cherry) and was amazed at the comfort and style! Two very happy customers - thank you!!!!

  • Squeaky squeaks!

I love these boots and get comments whenever I wear them ... which unfortunately isn't that often, since they developed a really loud and annoying squeak in the sole after just a few wears. I bought them in the US and live in New Zealand so couldn't return them. I've tried everything to fix it, talcum powder and paper towels between the insoles. It seems to be coming from the sole itself. (It's not sweat-related as they squeak as soon as I put them on, even if I haven't worn them in months.) I would wear these a LOT more often in winter as they are toasty warm, but the squeak drives me mental. They look like spy boots, but they're definitely no good for spying! As for fit, they're great for tall girls. I'm 5'9" and they are a little short (about an inch too short) but perfect for a slim calf.

  • My Favorite Boots!

These boots are the best you can buy. They are wonderfully comfortable and super sexy. My old ones lasted a few years and I am going to buy a new pair this year. The only thing I can think of that isn't so great is the lining getting holes from usage. It is pricey to fix. All in all though.. that one problem is not bad. BEST Fall/Winter shoes EVER!

  • Love them!

It has been a saga; from Toronto to Montreal and back but worth every minute for my Bondgirls. These boots are comfortable, classy, classic and chic. Many thanks to the professional and dedicated staff of both the Toronto and Montreal stores - they made sure my boots were perfect.

  • I really liked these boots, but they needed some work. I had to take mine to a cobbler to have them fitted with a panel of stretchy fabric in order to get them onto my calves (My calves aren't huge, but they're muscular, and I didn't have a prayer of zipping them up without the alteration.) Then I had to find the pair of perfect insoles since there's no arch support, and now the flimsy inner lining is ripping. I have no idea if this can be replaced or not. They're a great boot if you don't have large calves, if you don't need arch support, and if you don't mind the lining falling apart after about a year of heavy use. I might just cut out the lining in the spots where it's tearing and wear heavier socks. I, too, am six feet tall and these boots hit right at midcalf; they're not as tall as I'd like. Otherwise it's a great look, very sturdy and tough and warm.

  • ...seven my dear, 007

This are rock'n, kick a$$, beautiful, hot, butch, cool, biker/spy girl sexy boots!! These are one of my first two pairs of Fluevogs (along w/ the LA 'Melrose') that my girlfriend bought me for my b-day last weekend in Chicago. I've worn these 3X and they are breaking in nice already. I'm surprised at the narrowness of the calves (15"), but they are nicely snug on me and I just love that feeling of a snug boot hugging my legs... mmmm. This is a nice change since most boots are made w/ huge calves in the SZ12 that I wear, which just makes them sloppy and unsexy...but not these, though I won't be able to wear them w/ my jeans tucked in...so I'll just have to wear them w/ shorts/skirts. I plan to be wearing this still in 10yrs... thanks JF. You have another Fluevogian and devoted follower.

  • Love my Bondgirl boots!

I ride a Harley and my Bondgirls are my official riding boots. After checking out other options at Harley stores the Bondgirl boots were way sturdier and better looking than any other options out there. They are the only thing I wear when I get on my bike--not only because they look rad but for safety as well. I've had them for years now and they continue to keep me safe and make me look like a real biker chick.

  • So, yeah, LOVE the boots. great fit, stellar w/ any outfit. And I do mean ANY. Weather durable, yeah, for sure. Otherwise not so much. I've had these for almost 3 years now and the inner lining has completely disintigrated, started after about 6 months of wearing. Do I wear too much? Maybe, but they are so great. The breaking point for me is when the little handle on one zipper broke the other day. So sad. I am ordering another pair, though, of course. One for good, and one for the other 6 months of snow I live in.

    Inside Lining

    Greg

The inside lining on the Bondgirl is very soft and thin, so that it keeps you warm and doesn't irritate the skin if worn without socks. If worn day in-day out, and the lining can get soaked from sweat (gross but true), and it can start to rip if it doesn't have a chance to dry out and restore its strength. After a day's wear, store the boots unzipped, in a warm dry place overnight, or even better use a cedar wooden shoe tree - they dry out the insides and keep them smelling fresh.

  • FOR REALS

    Im from Hollywood and now living in Switzerland, these boots are nice n warm! I wore this boot at a few Norweigen music festivals last year where it rained all the time. My feet stayed dry in the mud unlike the rest of my band! I was amazed but then I read the other reviews on here and see Im not the only one. I thought it may just be me because I am a real life bond girl, but no, its Fluevog. "Shemonster" was here. :-}

  • Really Worth It!

I bought these boots almost 4 years ago and they are still nearly indestructible. Thanks for making a boot to fit skinny calves--even though I think my calves are normal. That is why I bought this boot in the first place because it fit my calves and long legs. So perfect. I wear these in really bad weather. These are also so hardcore, they are like wearing a weapon on your feet. I could really put a foot in somebody's a$$ if necessary--for real though! Wish I had not gone a half size larger, but starting wearing the boots immediately with thick socks. I will probably buy these boots again since I would rather get a new pair than get a cheap repair on slightly run over heel by now--but it took almost 4 years to wear the heel down and I am hard on shoes. The zipper is outstanding quality. It is so nice to get what I paid for! I just realized that there is a John Fluevog in the Chi! (I can buy the original heels here at the John Fluevog store in Chicago and get them on my boots very inexpensively by the recommended cobbler! This is great news since my boots have not worn out yet! Wow. Thank you!

I love these boots, they are so amazing. saw them on someone 2 yrs ago and had to immediately go out and purchase my own. however, at 5'0" tall, i found out that when i tried to sit down, the boot cut into my thighs b/c i'm too darn short. couldn't you make the height just a teeny bit shorter on the smaller sizes? :) i had to return mine. saw them again on someone yesterday and i still want them!

I have had these puppies for six years and to this day, they still look fantastic!!! You can wear them anywhere and with almost anything, but they look especially hot with either a great pair of skinny jeans or mini skirts! I could never part with these boots; they are comfy, they withstand rain, sleet, snow, rowdy concert goers, terrible dates, and even the odd job interview (if you so dare!).

  • Kickn' Boot

Part Military, Part S*** kicker, this boot is comfortable, but most importantly - a show stealer. I love to wear this boot with a floaty dress and small sweater. Looks best with skirts and dresses for sure. BUT WHY???? WHY John Fluevog do you make your calves so small??? a 14 is way too tiny, I had to have inserts put into my Bond Girls so they'd fit my 16" calves. Make a boot with a wider calf please???

Hi Deira - so glad you love your boots (nice asterisking btw). As much as we've tried to, we can't make calves that fit everybody. One option is to bring them to a Fluevog store, and they will happily stretch them for you (up to 2 inches). If you don't live near a Fluevog store, your local cobbler will be able to stretch them out for you. Happy kicking!
