Pretty and Confortable

I bought these boots, then found out my Daughter had bought a pair too, she loves them as do I. They are so pretty & very comfortable. I little wide but perfect for wearing a pair of warm socks. So very soft leather & beautifully brocaded. Fancy ribbon ties really makes them fancy & fun. A generous size even though I bought a whole size up from my street size. Tracy if you changed the lace style on the right boot, it seems I am the lucky one of getting these boots in a size 11, so Thank You. Anyone buying these boots will be thrilled with them.

Purple East End Gladstones

I have wanted these boots for years but wanted to try them on first as I have wide feet. Last week I was in Gas Town Vancouver and and bought these boots! The staff was awesome helpful. I typically wear a 9 which felt a bit snug so I bought the 9.5. They are comfy, gorgeous, so many compliments. Just sad that if I had waited a week I would have got another 15% off...

Embossed Gladstone

I am super disappointed in the fact the Rust coloured Gladstone was very narrow fitting. I have an average foot width but could not get these to fit well. Very tight across the footbed. They looked narrow when opening the box and no amount of opening the laces could make them fit comfortably.

sigh.

Well, as I purchased the last size 11 hopefully my loss will be someone else’s gain when they reappear on the website.

These boots turned out to be good for my soul, as well as my soles

So here's what happened. I suffered a massive disappointment in the form of an audition for a thing I really wanted (I was great, but it came down to type - it happens, no matter how great I was, they weren't going to want me, oh well). I was inconsolable for a week or so, then I picked myself up off the mat and made a deal with myself - next time auditions for the thing came round, I was going to go, kick ass (whether they wanted me or not), and then I was going to go downtown and reward myself with these boots. The next round of auditions came up, I had a timeslot scheduled, I was ready - and then the pandemic happened, and everything got cancelled. Fast forward two years. The auditions came round again, finally - virtual, as many are nowadays. I kicked ass as planned, and despite the virtual audition, I made a special trip in to the NYC store (I wanted to be able to try them on), and that rounded out the experience, since everyone at the NYC store was lovely and made the whole thing that much better. Thus, these are not just gorgeous footwear - they are my Get Up Off The Dirt Boots, and I wear them when I need soul-armour, and they make me feel better, just by existing (also, I get compliments on them ALL the time). I eventually want them in black as well as purple. Thank you, Fluevog!

Great for wide square feet, with high instep.

I picked up the teal and the green/bird Gladstones, and they are a dream. I take anywhere from a 6.5 (Mini Booboo, but most Minis are a 7) to an 8.5 (Enneagram Spontaneous). I took these Gladstones an 8 and there is plenty of wiggle room. Maybe could do a 7.5, but did not try them. Great, versatile boot.

Such beautiful floral shoes!!!

On IFD I bought the JF monogram Gladstones, and I am in love with them. The black, red, pink, and blue hues in this boot are all so wonderful. I'm currently breaking mine in. But they fit TTS in regards to 7.5 sizing on a narrow foot. I'm thinking of going for the Gladstone in black leather next.

Just amazing!

I’ve lusted after a pair of Fluevogs for several years, but being in the UK, I was nervous about ordering a pair and then having to send them back as my closest store is in Amsterdam.

My husband and I took our first child-free holiday since 2005, and went to New York - much excitement when I realised I would finally be able to visit a Fluevog store and try some on (it was literally our first destination after we’d checked into our hotel). The young lady who served me was so incredibly helpful, and after trying on a few different styles, the Gladstones in Rust were utterly me! I wore them for a full day on our last day in Manhattan and, in spite of being footsore from several days of several kilometres covered on foot, these beauties held up well in spite of the 2.5” heel (I was a bit nervous I’ll admit). They are beautifully constructed, soft, and supportive. I am utterly in love with them and want them in all the colours lol!

Great fit

I have rather wide feet and a lot of shoes, if they are not specifically wide size, are not wearable. These boots, however, are roomy enough in the toe area that I can wear them without any problem and they’re actually comfortable, particularly for a boot with a bit of heel. I really love these boots. So much so that I ordered a pair of the taller ones.

The Gateway Shoe

These were my first Fluevogs and they have entirely ruined me for all other shoes. I have very weird feet were most shoes are quite painful to wear, but the Gladstones couldn't be further away from this. Comfortable, chic, and versatile. I wear them everywhere and with everything and get tons of compliments! If my wallet would allow, I would buy up this entire line. Couldn't recommend adding these to your wardrobe more!!

Amazing to the eye but threads coming off?

I absolutely love my monogram Gladstones. Perfect mix of function and form - so comfortable and yes, I get compliments every time I wear them.

But I don't know what do to? The threads are coming off/ are loose starting from the third or fourth wear? Is this normal with Fluevog fabric? I don't know what to do - ignore them, cut them off?

My fave Vogs!

I absolutely love my Gladstones! I got a pair in black, and wore them so much I went and got a pair in teal as well.

Comfy right from day 1 even with my wide feet, the heel height is perfect, and I found the sizing spot on.

I get compliments every time I wear either of my pairs. Those oversized eyelets make a statement, while still allowing them to go with everything. Will be adding Gladstones pair #3 to my collection at some stage, I seriously love these shoes that much!

Just got my 50th Anniversary Limited Editions. WOW! This boot is art. In fact we have them sitting on the mantel where I can admire them until I wear them out of the house... The Perfect Boot

Comfortable from Day One! And absolutely gorgeous!! I got the Teal - not shiny in real life - a perfect matte with ombre coloring. I got the size 9 - I am between an 8.9 & 9, and the 9 was the right choice. I have wide ankles and legs and these were adjustable so it was perfect. Got tons of compliments. Walked down the city streets without worry of tripping - very balanced fit. Am buying them in black now, and Burgundy will be next if they are still around!

Love them!

I wore my monogram Gladstone’s for the first time today and they were comfortable right away. I have issues with my balance and I found them to be very stable, not slippery at all. They have good support and the heel height is perfect. They are also GORGEOUS!

Gorgeous and functional

How many compliments can these boots illicit in their maiden voyage. 7 in 2 hours.

Fabulous, functional and comfortable. I was scared to wear these in the melty snow but they held up well. I’d recommend weatherproofing if you are in a wet/snowy environment.

Eyelets falling off, slippery as hell

My eyelets are falling off where you put the laces through. And these shoes are slippery as hell!! I almost slide out from under myself when i walk. Also ive had a size issue with these. The left shoe fits great. The right one was great in the store when i first tried it, but upon walking it became very tight. Now it smashes my toe back. They say their both 7s but one seems a total smaller size

Comfy & Unique

I had a pair of the earlier Gladstones and wore them out. I've coveted these for a long time. They are supremely comfortable and I love the unique styling of the boot shape, the monster grommets and the pattern. The heel is also a part that attracted me. Also, roomy if you have big legs like I do. The only detractor is that the back seam seems to be splitting and due to the fact that I had broken my ankle they were out of warranty by the time I wore them. Of the nine pair of vogs I've owned I've had issues with all but two of them. The quality of the materials still disappoints. Nevertheless, I do love them.

Best Airport Shoe Ever

Love them to pieces -- literally :(

Wish I'd read the reviews and known to save my receipts for warranty purposes.

These Gladstone rubber heel lifts wear out entirely too quickly! I got in 4-5 weeks of tromping around NYC before the rubber wore completely through to the heel base. Replacement lifts from my cobbler seem to be made of sturdier stuff and, crucially, don't have the rubber "lip". Hopefully I can make it a normal amount of time (12 mos) before replacement is required again.

New favorite boots

I love these boots so much, I have two pairs; one in yellow, one floral...and I'm still tempted to buy more. The only thing stopping me from budgeting out a full rainbow of these is a lack of shoe storage.

They are super comfortable right out of the box, with a bit of bounce to them when you walk. They fit nicely under dress slacks and jeans, or over leggings/tights. They dress up and dress down, and if you swap out the ribbons you've got a ton of options for styling and colors.

I have loose joints, and am forever rolling my ankles or tripping over nothing. With the wide ribbons that they come with, these lace up nice and firm past my ankle almost like a brace. I can frolic all day and not worry.

best boots ever

I was treating myself to Birthday shoes and trying on everything in the store. Eventually it became clear that these were the beacons of light, and I focused on WHICH COLOR to get. Mx in Boston was my salesperson and they were so patient and lovely. I think they literally watched me try on three different colors of the same shoe for 40 minutes. Their comments were VERY helpful, not just "oh that looks great" but really insightful things about the differences between each color and how they read with my overall look. I went with the light brown ones in the end and could not be happier. It was so great not to feel rushed and to take my time to decide which one was truly right for me!

Bought the Teal and Purple

I found a stray Fluevog sticker at work (I work for the company Fluevog ships with) and stuck it on my fridge. While I knew that the colourful boxes that I frequently see contained shoes, I had no idea what awesomeness was in them! After about 6 weeks of seeing "NO, YOU'RE WEIRD" catching my eye on a daily basis from the fridge door, I decided to sit down and see what Fluevog was all about. The first pair of Vogs I fell in love with were the Gladstones in Teal, but I was not prepared for the price. (I sat on the fence for about 6 weeks before buying another (less expensive) pair of Vogs first). I ended up buying the last pair of 11/12 Gladstones in teal. I will admit that I wasn't sure about them at first. Even at 11/12 they were a bit snug on me, but after reconfiguring the laces they fit quite well. So I bought the purple pair in 12 and strangely enough one boot fits like a 12 and the other fits like a 11/12. I haven't had a lot of true break in time yet - winter arrived early in Moncton this year - so I wear them around the house a lot. But wow. They are beautiful. I love love love them and I can wear them for hours at home and they have even inspired me to create dress/clothing patterns. Very pleased with both sets of boots!

Worrisome quality... first time Fluevog has disappointed!

Four months after I bought these beauties, I was surprised to discover that the rubber heels were wearing through. I contacted Fluevog and since it was in the 8 month warranty, the replacement was covered. I included a note with my vogs (probably the 12th pair I've owned over the last 18 years) asking, if the heels wear out so quickly, could they include another set ( I would gladly pay for) so I could get them replaced in the future? No reply to that note when I received my fluevogs returned. fast forward 2 months, and the heel rubber is wearing out AGAIN. WTH? If the warranty is still in place, it is VERY close. Never had this problem with ANY other vogs, and of course the heel style isn't available for online purchase. This is a lot of money to spend on shoes that are unwearable in 6 months. :(

POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP

Disappointed with the poor craftsmanship--the heels fell off upon wearing them for the first time, revealing cheaply made ribber heels that were empty inside. I had to take them to a cobbler to have the heels filled and remade, which cost me $55. I would have expected such poor craftsmanship with cheap brands but not with Fluevog given the steep price point. I feel ripped off. Not recommended.

You know you want to

Widish foot, very high arch, narrow heel. I do not suffer discomfort well and often wear flats. Normal street size is 10.5 and in these I bought 11. Go ahead and buy these - sturdy heel, nice arch support, great colors, fun as nearly anything you can get. Seriously, I will wear these for years. Bought the purple and the black. I also have a large calf and this boot just glides over it. Just a joy to own and seem really comfortable. Love them. You know you want to... just do it. W

Obvious head turners!

So I tried on the brown, but I was absolutely in LOVE with the teal, and had to have them. They were my Fluevog Day purchase. Every time I wear them I get a ton of compliments! The only thing is I had to have them stretched. The brown ones I tried on were perfect in a 10.5 (my usual Vog size), BUT the teals were tight around the ball of my foot to the point that my feet were going numb wearing them. They're fine and fit well now that I had them stretched, but keep it in mind if you go with a different colourway than what you are able try on!

Is Pain Beauty?

These boots are absolutely gorgeous looking! I had to have the "orange" color as soon as I saw them. The first pair I received was flawed so my Fluevog guy exchanged them for me no problem. I wore them at work today for an 8 hour shift as a bank teller. Although I mostly sit, I have to say this is my first pair of Fluevogs that I wouldn't recommend. And this is my 6th pair. They aren't very comfortable. Walking in the shoe was a tad scary as the soles are very slippery. They are a tiny bit narrow on the foot but on a positive note I am a bigger female and the calf is a beautiful size. Extra room for tucking in pants.

To be honest, even with receiving the 2nd pair, the craftsmanship doesn't seem as perfect as my other 5 pairs of Fluevogs.

This is my first negative review I've written about Fluevogs and it may just be my goofy feet but I feel my honesty could be helpful.

Victorian Street Urchin Chic

So maybe the comment title sounds a little odd, but truly this little boot has been my favorite pair of Vogs this year. I saw the brown one in the fall catalogue and thought “MUST HAVE NOW!”. Instead, I ended up with the black pair after trying on both. The black is so incredibly gorgeous on, and yes, people will love them when you wear them. Best of all, they feel like butter once you break them in (the breaking in period was nearly painless, too). I walk about five miles most days, and my feet feel just fine after wearing these all day. I ended up with an 11 because I knew I would wear thick socks, but I could have worn the 10.5 and been fine. In the 11, my foot kept slipping forward into the toe box, which was a little hard, the first day I wore them, but they don’t seem to do it as much now that I’ve been wearing them for a few weeks.

A little punk, a little femme, a lot fabulous!

I went to the Granville store "just to have a look," and these black Gladstones had to come home with me immediately. I found them true to size, and the laces allow for slightly wider calves. They also support weaker ankles; mine have a tendency to roll, but these boots are sturdy and comfy all day long. And I'm definitely looking forward to swapping out coloured laces or ribbons for some extra fun. So much love!

I can’t take them off

I am usually all about color, but this is the perfect black boot. The laces and tongue allow for a thicker calf, and the detail of the top just is the cherry on top. I went down half size from my normal size 7 street size to a 6.5 and they could not be more perfect. I have worn them everyday and am always sad to take them off. Might need to invest in the orange color as well! Great all day boot!
