The serendipitous feeling you get when you slip into The Equinox is completely by design, but that doesn’t make it any less magical. If anything, knowing that multiple Fluevogian entities had to align perfectly to connect you with The Equinox should make the discovery even more special. Crafted with soft pebbled leather and an OrthoLite insole, this simple Future Round Toe slip-on shoe is as exciting as the first step of a new adventure, but as comfortable as a journey you’ve taken a hundred times before. Denny from our San Francisco (Haight) store says:
These fit long so definitely order a smaller size. Be sure to use a shoe horn to get into them. Once you are in, you're good to go!

Too narrow
I really wanted to love these shoes, but they are not shaped like human feet. They are long and narrow and the toe box is constricting. Please make shoes that are shaped like actual feet, or at the very least, make them in wide. Disappointing.

Nova is not a booby prize, but I want equinox also
I have both of the Nova colors, and I wear them almost constantly. I used to divide my shoes into Fluevog and not Fluevog, but now it's Nova and not Nova. (Hat tip to Lily Tomlin in The Kid.) Forgot to mention that I appreciate the review because I have high arches. I was too obsessed with Novas and Bob Riley.

Not for high insteps
I really wanted these shoes. I was going to order them online, but instead went in to the store to try them on - and was glad I did, because with my high instep, I couldn't even get my foot into them. The top of the shoe is cut so far forward that there is very little room to put your foot in it. I was disappointed, as they look comfy. Alas, I made up for my disappointment by walking out with a pair of Novas instead!

Lilac Dreams
Otherworldly forces really did lead me to slip on the Equinox display shoe. I didn’t think they’d fit me. I went in to re-visit the Official Jueves in pink and was wearing it on the other foot. I forgot I was wearing both delightfully squishy styles. I have a EE width below my toes but my heel width is narrow. Years ago widths were ascribed to heels and mine was AA in a pair of swanky leather-lined black suede 3” heels 😗. Shoemakers used combination lasts.—amazing so much consideration was given to fit and not mass production! This was in ‘83 and I was 17 years old….I was a spoiled (but morally sound) teenager I’ll tell you! But I sure learned what quality was, hence FVog being my #1 forever. I can’t wear a loafer with my foot shape but with the elastic gore in the leather next to the cup of the heel, it works! I also wear RX half orthotics made of hard plastic so not all shoes work since they must be quite flat inside and the orthotics can wear the shoe at the sides. My orthotics just drop into the Equinox and I’m good to go.
