With a lace-up platform boot as high-spirited as The Smarty, nothing will be able to bring you down. Built on the foundations of our beloved F-Shoes Hi Family and borrowing elements from some of our favourite '90s vintage platform shoes, the ambitious Skyhigh F Family soars to heights greater than one might have thought possible. Equipped with long flat cotton laces and a sole that’s been stacked extra high, The Smarty promises to lift its wearer, both off the ground and in spirit and soul, leaving you feeling untouchable.

These only come in full sizes and run a little big, depending on the shape of your toes. If you are in between sizes, you might be able to size down. Otherwise, you may need an insole to fill up any roominess. Keep in mind you will experience some slipping in the heel due to the thickness of the sole.

LOVE!
I got these for a recent event where I really wanted some heels, but was going to be on my feet ALL night. I figured some platforms could do the trick. These were lovely. Beautiful shiny patent leather. Comfortable to wear. I didn't have any issue walking in them, and I got a lot of compliments on them. I'd consider the burgundy also if there still still any in my size. They are fantastic. They are a taller boot than I expected, and I was able to wrap the laces around about 3 times.

Order a size up
The fit recommendation said these run a half size larger since the Smarty’s only come in whole sizes I ordered as recommended 7 (I normally wear a 7 1/2) way to tight especially across the top of my foot. These will be gifted to someone else. Im purchasing a size 8 for myself. 4 stars for the incorrect size recommendation.

Quite pleasantly surprised!
Appearance: Top down they look a bit clunky. From the sides and back they look surprisingly elegant! The burgundy suede embossing is so beautiful in person. I have received many compliments on these boots when I am out and about.
Comfort: You want these to fit great on the feet first go because you are not going to be bending this toe and heel. The platform thickness will prevent this and they will stay quite firm for a while. The first day I wore these I walked 6000 steps without issues other than a tiny irritation from the tongue against my shin which will soften up in time.
They are quite easy to walk in.
Sizing: I take 7.5 in most Vogs, but had to go up to an 8 in these with a nice insole. (If I am not mistaken, they only come in full sizes).
In the burgundy suede the sides and top are VERY soft/pliable leather/suede, the heel and toe are hard and the tongue is a medium leather (shiny).
I am really happy with these. If you are on the fence (burgundy), go for it. I can't speak for the comfort of the thicker versions in black and tan.

John Fluevog Shoes

True to Size for Long Toes
Based on the reviews, I ordered a size down (US women's size 6). I have long narrow petite feet with long toes. The toe box area was too small and I'm returning them for my regular size. If you have long toes go for your regular size 7.
I ordered the Taupe color which is pretty accurate to how it's pictured on the website. The leather of the shoes is very stiff, and I have concerns about being able to wear these comfortably so I will probably reach out to the fluevologists on how best to break them in.
The hight and platform felt comfortable. Somewhat weighty but not too heavy to be impractical.

Strong style and very polished
These, in my opinion are true to size but, unfortunately, do not come in half sizes. I fit 7 1/2 on most footwear. Lucky for me, the Fluevog lady offered insoles to make my size 8 fit well as size 7 is too short.
The chunkiness is rendered extremely refined and polished looking by the suede and the highly polished leather in the burgandy version. They are modern, timeless in style and very comfortable. Thank you.

Fun!
I received these as a surprise for my birthday. Opened the box and had to laugh. How am I going to walk in these with a bad back. A little hard to get into with how the laces are tied but after some assistance I had them strapped on my size 10 wide feet and couldn't believe two things: 1) How comfortable they are 2) How tall I am wearing them lol. I figured I would fall over but after a little practice walking up and down the stairs with the help from my husband, I mastered them. They fit a little bigger but I'll adjust with thicker socks. Worth the money (as always with Fluevog) and love the color of the beige. If you're looking for a boot you can wear with nearly anything, these are the pair for you. Have fun!

Yes Oh BoY OH Yes! : )) - I first tried these in an 8 and they were hugE- Thank goodness for Keith @ Portland he went on a limb sensing the 7 would work- Tight initially in the toe box~however they felt great elsewhere and with the height galore I did a trial night at home (as foot twin Carrie @ Portland wisely suggested early on my VoG life's journey) -well grateful I am- These are beautiful and I am smarter in my 7's - In my view, these run large
