Love!
These are my favourite shoes evvverrrrr (well, the red version but these are a close second) I always get asked where I got them from whenever I wear them. The seams have sadly ripped after 3 years of wearing them almost everyday. Petition to bring back the red ones because I refuse to find another replacement

I loved them until the sole split
In so many ways these are the perfect boot. They're comfortable, look amazing, are deliciously snug on my feet (and yes a little tight to get on and off though not too bad). BUT after 2 years the soles are starting to split across the front part of both boots, where the seam is. It gets worse with each wear. To go along with this they're also making a very audible squawking sound when I walk thanks to the splitting.
I've had other Fluevogs in the past, though not this style, and never had any issues. In fact, my cowboy boots which would have to be 18 years old at least, are still going strong.
I've treated my Piccolominis really well and not worn them heaps so this is super disappointing. I was actually going to buy a second pair of these as a backup, but now I don't think so.

Had to return </3
These boots are true to size, comfortable, and SO cute ! Huge downside - they are incredibly difficult to put on (which I could live with) but the pull tab is not properly secured and rips off which renders the boots unwearable. I tried to get them fixed but the tag ripped off even after a visit to the cobbler. Maybe if the pull tab was longer in the back (sewn further down the boot) and if there was a second tab in the front this issue could be averted. If ever they fix the pull tab I will buy them in a heartbeat! The staff at the Ottawa location was very helpful and kind as usual :)

update on review
OK - 2 things:
the boots are much easier to get on than the older pair that I have. Having said that, on the 2nd wear - the tab/boot pull detached from the boot.
That was really disappointing!
Clearly, somethings have changed in the manufacturing of this boot. Because my first pair - super tight/challenging to get on for a good number of months) is going strong (the tab) after 3+ years of wearing.

I just purchased my 2nd pair of these boots. I wore the first pair (red) so much - and maybe a bit too carelessly - so they're not looking as good as they did a year or 2 ago. My 2nd pair is in black.
My only regret is that Fluevog no longer makes these boots in red (such a great red colour!).
Agreed with the other reviewers:
Buy a size up (I'm 8.5 - and 9 fits beautifully)
They are a bit tight and challenging to get on in the beginning - and then they stretch out to fit beautifully
And wow - are they ever comfortable!!

So cute - soles split though
I loved these boots, wore them a few times a week for two years until the sole of one boot split right across the seam at the ball of the foot. The sole is now in almost two pieces. While I love how these boots look and felt on, I was a little disappointed - I usually get much more wear out of Fluevogs, this is my most recent purchase and the only pair I've had fall apart.

I can’t believe how comfortable these are and how cool they look!
I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with these. I thought they looked fun so I asked to try them on. I was thinking that I was going to feel like I was falling off with every step. But, Holy BANANAS. These boots are not only super solid, they are insanely comfortable. I don’t feel like I’m on a platform and I don’t feel unsteady in the least. They look VERY cool with a nice close fitting top. I strongly recommend these to anyone who wants a Chelsea boot look but with a super punk feel. I’d buy these in another colors if they offered it… hint, hint.

These are my favorite boots EVER!!!!! I've had them for several years and they remain my fav. I would wear them every single day of my life but don't want to ruin them. Looking for a new (backup) pair now for special occasions!!!! Website doesn't have my size.

Love them
In terms of fluevogs these seem low key but they are striking when you wear them. So comfortable and very cool. Every time I wear them I get stopped for comments and questions. They are small around ankle which makes them very flattering. I am a dress person and wear these with everything from day to awards nights. I have in both black and blue

Carla - thank you! I have actually contacted Fluevog multiple times and no one ever returned my emails/calls. The soles cracked in under a year but now it’s been almost 2yrs. If they replaced yours I will try again and go down to the store to speak to someone directly. Thank you for your comment, gives me hope that they may resolve the issue. However the best outcome would be for Fluevog to adjust the design as I’m not the only one who had this issue with this style. I am a bit soured at being ignored as I contacted multiple times through various channels. Glad to hear they resolved your issue at least!

You must ease into these boots in the best way you can. I turn them sideways, put my foot into the ankle, then rotate the boot as I push my foot down into the sole.
I have narrow ankles and they fit really well on me.
LEATHER LINED as are all Fluevogs.
I can wear my orthotics in these. The soles do slip out if you need a different kind of sole or you have orthotics too.
As comfortable as the day is long. The soles are super cool.
I love the platform style.
I feel like nothing can touch me when I wear these.

Anika—hope you read this. I had the same problem with a pair of Derby Swirls I bought in ‘08. The sole came apart in under a year. I bought them in Vancouver and so I called the Gastown store (I live in Edm). I can’t remember if I mailed the boots back but they replaced the pair I had. You are so right on all points in your review. Call the store or company and see what they say. Don’t delay, Fluevog today.

Pretty & Broken
I love these boots! They are so comfortable and I love the Space Sole. However, in less than a year of not even normal use (covid lockdowns) the sole cracked and my entire foot gets soaked. You can't even repair the sole. Given the price point, this is pretty poor quality. I've never had a boot sole crack on me before and have a boots die in under a year. So beautiful but the quality is just not there. Which is unfortunate given that Fluevog transcend seasonal fashion trends, you feel like you are buying a forever shoe! Don't waste your money on these ones as they will be destined for a landfill shortly. The fact that they are made in way that they can't be repaired is pretty shameful given the current climate crisis.

These boots are my new favorite! Comfortable from the word go, no break in period, and they are flattering with every style of Jean. The worst part about these is now I want every color!

Woweeee
I own a LOT of Fluvogs but I can tell already these are going to be my go-to for everything. Entry looks crazy narrow but it’s fine and that extra bit of height is amazing. Incredible comfort straight out of the box. Love, love them.

Love these but they did not last
I ordered a pair of these in 2019 and immediately had to replace them within the first week due to a sole issue. Staff was helpful. The 2nd pair lasted me for a year and a half of consistent wear, and I LOVE the style of them, very comfortable and distinct look. Sadly the front stitch started to come apart and shortly after the front part of the sole, where there is a grove, cracked on both shoes. I’ve tried to glue them but that didn’t last long and when I took them to a cobbler, they said they were not repairable. I really love these but I’ve never had so many problems with a boot before.

From sloucher to sultry saunterer
These are the greatest shoes ever. I'm usually a 9 in 'Vogs and these are a perfect fit in 9s. The ankle opening looks impossible, but wasn't difficult to negotiate at all. I don't find the weight to be noticeable or a problem for me. I'm not a short person but I absolutely love the extra height. And they are super comfortable. If I could only have one pair of shoes for the rest of my life, these would be them. Please never stop making them.

Over the Moon
After seeing these online some time ago and not being able to forget about them, I finally splurged for a pandemic birthday present to myself. Normally I'm an 8.5 and took the 9 (39) in these. I would describe the fit as perfect in width, a tad long (I have short toes), and initially quite tight over the arch (I have a very high in-step)---but the leather quickly stretched out to fit. I have had them about a week and have probably already walked 30+ km in them. Like other posters mentioned they are a bit tricky to get on but worth it for the slim fit around the ankle. I simply love them. Petrea and others at the Amsterdam shop were super helpful with my order.

The perfect Chelsea platform
I have been searching high and low for the perfect Chelsea platform boots, so when I saw these, I was smitten immediately. I'm a size 7 with slightly wide feet, so when I ordered, I indicated I wanted someone from Fluevog to contact me before sending out the boots. The gal who responded from the Boston store was super helpful and correct in suggesting I stay true-to-size.
It's true you'll have to finagle these on the first few times -- one of the pull loops broke the first time I put them on, so don't use them as your only wrangling mechanism, fyi -- but the process quickly becomes easier. I can get the boots on with relative ease and in short time three weeks after receipt.
I have a LOT of boots, and these are now my favorites. The comfort is extreme. The platform is extraordinary (short people, I know you hear me!), and they give just the right amount of edge that allows you to wear with most anything most anywhere. If I ever see the blue ones for sale, I will snap those up, too!

Moon walker for life
I love these boots! They are truly a piece of art and extremely comfortable. There’s really nothing like them. Quality and craftsmanship come together to create something classic and edgy in the perfect partnership. I am a US 8.5 and the 9 fits me like a glove. I would size up if you are in between sizes. I can not wait until they conform to my feet with wear over time. The soles hold some weight but it absolutely suits the boot and it’s nothing drastic. Love the snug ankle for a sleek look. A Little Piece of Happiness
Ordered these in the summer and they arrived super fast. It was a tough wait till the fall, but now they are my absolute favorite boots. Its weird how they can both be a basic item as well as a statement piece. Super comfy to walk in despite being heavy. The blue colour is spectacular in real life. Only down side is that they are hard to put on/take off, but all is forgiven because they fit so close to the ankle (none of that weird thing that other ankle boots do with boot cut jeans).

Steppin out in my blue suede boots!
Love these. Something magical in the quality of the blue colour and the fact that the soles are exactly the same shade. I'm a size 9 with bunions, took a 10 in these. They conformed to my feet in a few days. They are a bit of a chore to pull on, but once they're on, you're ready to romp!
