“I was thinking of global warming when I designed the Prepares. I was considering footwear that was needed in the future. Shoes that would keep one out of high floodwaters while looking good. It had to be a distinctive Fluevog shoe with treads on the sole for traction. Good height so you can see where you are going, all with style, and thus the Prepare was born and named. Life throws some strange curves at us from time to time: make sure you’re prepared.”

  • the 4th pairs

I've got 3 pairs of Fluevog and this is the 4th pairs, run a bit bigger then the other 5.5 I have and the heels feel heavy as well.

I will keep it as it is hard to find small size fluevog, wish me luck

  • I’m In Love

I have wanted a pair of Fluevog’s FOREVER and today I finally got them! Every time I’m in San Francisco I stop into the store to drool. I finally purchased the black Leaders and was so surprised how perfectly they fit and how comfortable they were. I swear, they even make my posture better - added bonus. I had read some of the reviews that said to order a half size up, but I ordered my regular 7.5 and they fit absolutely perfectly. I am in love with these shoes and can’t wait to wear them outside of my home post quarantine.

  • I forgot how much I love this Fleuvog family

Many years ago I had the Prepares in a soft grey boiled wool size 10.5 and wore them to death. I also had the Prepares in the lower calf boot but lost the laces after trading them out for a valentine red. Loved them too! To my joy and amazement I find them on sale - a quick phone call to Myles in the Seattle store on thursday had these beauties on my feet by friday evening - way to go Seattle and UPS! I happy danced out the door this morning for a day of chores with these great shoes - I am 67 and still love to look just a bit edgy - you know that poem "when I am old I'm going to wear purple" . . .I aspire . . . these are stable, comfy and wearable all day - Love LOVE them!

  • SQUEEEEEEEEE!!! my .. furriness

I bought Stacy's other pair, I love love love them. They were a tad big, but with a foot pad, fit like such a dream which is good because I will likely sleep in them because I'm never taking them off. LOVE LOVE LOVE these and cant figure how I lived this long without them. Please bring this style back in more colors and textures.

  • No regrets for these new hooves

I have wanted the floral shearling Leaders since LONG before they were on sale...

When I finally purchased them in my larger vog size (I have wide-ish feet) - they were just a little too big, and I enjoyed a smooth return process for a half-size smaller.

The shearling shoes are possibly impractical (just carry extra flats for sudden bad weather!), absolutely ridiculous (like wearing inside-out slippers), and immediately one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I plan on being careful...but keep in mind, shearling *can* be cleaned/fluffed with proper equipment!

I look forward to many escapades in these fabulous, fluffy shoes.

  • The best!

These are my FAVOURITE dhoes in the entire universe. I have them in red, black, blue stripes, and florals. I pine for the silver version. I hope it will be made sgain. I adore these puppies. Adore adore adore.

  • Coolest Shoes Ever

I love, love these shearling shoes. The fit is fantastic. The look is very stylish. I had no trouble at all buckling the strap. It is usually a challenge to find heels that don’t pinch my feet or make me feel off balance. I can’t believe how comfortable this style really is and I’m having NO trouble walking in them. The platform style shoe is the way to go for someone who does not wear a lot of high heels.

My new goal is to buy more Prepares in the plain leather colors. In the meantime, I already ordered a second pair of these shearling ones.

The only downside of these shoes is that you cannot wear them in rain or bad weather. But for the look, they are worth the extra care.

  • Almost a 10/10 except for the sole

I finally got my first pair from the Prepares line and I love them soooo much. I can wear them all day, everyday.

The only problem I run into is caused by the fact that the sole doesn't cover the whole bottom of the platform, and it's really thick! The combo of that creates idea ankle-rolling conditions in certain situations. I've already almost rolled my ankle twice.

I hope they change that one aspect of the design, if they do I will be buying EVRY colour because these are otherwise the best shoes ever!

  • Custom Colours

I got the Pink and Black Prepare Leaders in a custom colourway [Pink and Black] from Paula at Raspberry Heels in Poland. Superb service and speedy delivery. My first pair of Leaders- Denny from the San Franscio shop had previously helped me with sizing for my Prepares Guide and Finds bought in the 2017 Maths sale. I got the same size in the Leader-6.5 for my 23.3cm [bare] foot- the fit is perfect. Height and comfort in a shoe - fabulous, love the Prepare family- highly recommended.

  • Awesome shoes in great colors

I got this pair in mail from Melbourne as they were on sale. They match well with my cobalt wardrobe. This is my first pair of leader but will not be the last. I had to bend the back and the front edges a bit as the leather is a bit stiff for my liking. But no drama, easily done. Can't wait to wear them!

  • Tricky Straps!!

These lovely shoes arrived today. I had tried them on at the Ottawa store, so had a good idea of the fit. At the store the helpful staff buckled me into the shoes. I had no idea how hard it would be to do it myself once these beauties became my own. I struggled to get the strap to meet the buckle holes for about five minutes and then finally had to use a pair of pliers to pull the strap tight enough to finish the task. Crazy! I'm hoping that they stretch out with wear. I don't usually carry a pair of pliers to get my shoes on. Longer straps and more options of holes would help those of us with high arches.

  • Great shoes, high arches beware.

I bought the blue and black map ones and these shoes are great! I do however have a couple of issues and one is that some of the black strippes are rubbed off. Another problem I have is that I can barely do them up! It takes me five minutes of struggling to get them done up on the last hole. It might be because I have high arches but I have never had this problem before. Fluevog should consider lengthening the strap and adding a hole because I find it crazy that someone with skinny and narrow feet can barely do them up.

    John Fluevog

Thanks Kelly! We will pass along your feed back to our Flue-elves about lengthening the straps. In the mean time, your local cobbler can both help ease the leather to accommodate your high arch as well as add extra holes for you!

  • I loved it. So so comfortable.

  • Fits like a Dream!

I'm in Las Vegas, where there is excellent shopping, but alas! No Fluevog store here.

I ordered the blue and black Prepares, and when I opened the box, I didn't even want to try them on. These shoes initially looked so small, so narrow. My friend who was over urged me to try them on. To my surprise, they almost fit. After a trip to the local cobbler, he stretched them a good half size in the width- and these leaders are not leaving my feet! So comfortable! I wear them every day! Thank you Meghan, I couldn't be happier...A

  • I love the prepare family. It was this shoe that started me loving fluevogs. Comfy, gorgeous and original. I got the 1/2 size up from my usual shoes for a super comfy fit.

One thing...Is it just me or does any one else find these tipsy? 80% of the time I am a picture of class and grace strutting my stuff in my Prepares. The other 20% I am bambi, desperately trying to keep my ankles from rolling over...keeping myself upright! Lol

I might need to try the Maps to see if that helps..

  • Love these shoes but they are not perfect...

I have these in black and navy and I keep going to these because they are my most comfortable pair of work shoes and I get so many compliments. The trouble is that my navy pair, on the first day, one of the heel caps came off. I super-blued it back on and they seem to be fine. My black pair, after about 2 months of wear, the left shoes clicks when I walk. It's a stiff shoe and I'm guessing there is an air gap in the arch that is causing the clicking. Just annoying enough for me to notice but not enough for me to stop wearing them. A lot of money to spend on shoes but they are truly comfortable and stylish. Just beware of these potential issues with workmanship.

  • Worth Every Penny

I've had these in black for over a year. They are the perfect librarian shoe (I'm a librarian). They are so comfortable that I can be on my feet for hours on end with ultimate comfort. I've gotten endless compliments on them for the very fact that they are super cute but looks so comfortable. I just replaced the heel on them and they are as good as new.

So, in a review below I talked about how size matters. I'm happy to say that, after wearing the shoes a while, they are more comfortable. I do love them. They are funky and fun and yet I feel comfortable wearing them in more "conservative" settings as well. I'm wondering, though, if anyone else has had the experience of wear on the back. I've worn these shoes fewer than 10 times and the whole back of the heel looks like all I do is walk down stairs and scrape the backs of my shoes. (Which I decidedly do NOT.) There is no other wear on any other part of the shoe that looks like this. Every time I wear them, I have to rub some oil into the back to disguise the look of it. This is a huge disappointment given the price of the shoe. Given the condition of the box when I received them, I assumed they'd been shipped to someone else before and tried on/worn if only indoors. But the heels didn't look like that when I opened them. Anyone?

  • The Perfect Everyday Shoe?

I bought these after purchasing the silver Guides because I loved the heel and wanted to be able to wear the silhouette more regularly. Wow, am I glad I did! I waited too long to buy mine through the site, so my size sold out and had to score a barely used pair on the Fluemarket. These shoes take me everywhere from the office to concerts and everywhere in between. I wear an 8.5 to a 9 in street sizing, and I purchased a 9 in the Leaders. On the first couple of wearings they were very tight right at the vamp, and I wondered if I would need to size up. Not to worry, though! A spritz of rubbing alcohol and some breaking in with a pair of socks have made these soft, comfortable, and sturdy shoes. I can't get enough of the chunky retro vibe they give off, and the black goes with almost anything. Now I know why the Leader has such a following!

  • Size Matters

I love these shoes. I dreamed about owning them and saved up and finally bought them in the lovely blue color that goes with everything. They are not like wearing heels at all and I'm a girl who will fall off of far lower shoes. These feel balanced and supportive. I agree with the comment about the short strap. It's a bit of a challenge but worth it and looks great without too much slack going on. My only issue with Vogs is the ongoing size conundrum. I am a 7.5 in most shoes and that's what I got in these. They are the right size inasmuch as they are long and wide enough for my feet. I could have gotten an 8 and then there'd be more room for socks. I can wear tights or thin socks comfortably, though, and have faith that the buttery leather will stretch a bit. The problem is that the arch doesn't land in the right place in the 7.5 and the 8 would probably be too long as was the case with another fab shoe I bought a few years ago. Unfortunately, this "not quite right" bit makes for discomfort and how disappointing is that? It would be great if the size thing could just be straightened out for those of us who shop online and can't try on, but also because a shoe that fits properly is a more comfortable shoe.

  • Suits Need Leaders

Because who really wants to wear boring shoes when you're already stuck in a boring suit? Run a size 8.5 - 9, went with the 8.5 and the fit is perfect on my wedge-shaped foot; the toe box is wider than one might expect which works well for me. The platform is also very easy to wear making the Leader pretty damn awesome for stubby folks who need added height but possess a heel phobia. Only complaint is that the strap is touch short and the first few wearings required some contortionist talent to get them buckled. The straps have since stretched a wee bit making the buckling less of a challenge. Overall, just a great shoe with enough funk to make that suit less boring.

  • Take me to your Leaders ...

I can't take credit for that line (a fellow Fluezie said it first), but I had to use it. I just ordered my second pair of Leaders. I have them in Navy, and LOVE them, they're my "go to" for jeans, and now I just ordered the LE burgundy/purplish ones. I CAN'T WAIT! Until yesterday, I very rarely buy multiples of a style (I also bought my second pair of Guides), but these make me feel tall, they are super comfortable, and I feel invincible! (If you have long toes, I suggest going up ½ size).

  • Thank goodness I realized I needed the Leader in purple--really more of a soft boysenberry--before all the 8s were gone. This is my 3rd pair so I was a bit surprised that the straps seemed quite short, had to put up quite a struggle to get them fastened but after a full day's wear they're feeling better. Perfect with jeans or dresses. I'd love to see this style in a deep mossy green, medium grey or cranberry red for fall.

  • Incredibly Comfortable - The ONLY Pair I Wore to London!!!

I work a lot and travel a lot. I am supposed to be a funky designer type but my feet don't often comply. Last year I bought these PREPARE LEADERS in Purple and love them. I ended up bringing these on a short work trip to London and they were so comfortable the entire time - walking through the airport and through the city streets .... cannot say enough good things about these shoes. I am buying another pair in BLUE and am debating the GUIDE style this time around ... love my Fluevogs! I have purchased from Portland and also from the Union Square store and everyone is fantastic. I am a 7 / 37 and these seem very true to size.

I own around 20 pairs of Fluevogs, dating to the late 1990s and these are easily in my top 5. They are SUPER comfy, fit true to size and are fabulously wearable - they are so sturdy and grounded that I can walk 10+ blocks in them without the slightest irritation. LOVE THEM!!!

  • I'm a believer!

Over 50 yrs old and already almost six feet tall, I bought these recently and LOVE them. They are true to size for my size 11 feet - a size I wear in non-Vogs and some Vogs. The shoes are narrow and with the platforms don't feel that high. The leather is lovely as is the shape and the craftsmanship. So far, I'm only wearing the shoes indoors at work but I look forward to wearing them as my everyday shoe. Highly recommended and thanks to Anthony at the Montreal store.

  • My feet are so happy!

I went in to the store to try something else but the minute I put the Prepare Leaders on my foot, I had to buy them. My feet were so happy. I wore them out of the store and walked for blocks, no blisters. This is not my first pair of Fluevogs. For a while the red Malibrans were my favorite. Then the pink/gray/black Amandas. Now these are my favorite. I got the size 7.5, finding these to be true to that size.

  • Favorite Vogs

This became my 9th pair of Fluevogs and they are by far the best pair of shoes I've ever owned.

They are as comfortable as sneakers. The arch in the shoe is not as steep as the height it gives you so my feet don't hurt at the end of a long day. At 5"2 they make me taller which I love and no foot pain.

I actually have to say (as I have troubled feet) my feet feel better after wearing them.

I have had no trouble wearing them in (I normally wear a 7/7 1/2 and my Prepares are an 8).

The rubber on the soles also help with impact and a lot of walking.

When I want height but not heel I normally wear my Dansko clogs but I have balance issues. So far no tripping in my Prepares or nearly falling over.

So happy with them I just bought another pair despite living on a tight budget. I can give up food for these shoes.

  • excellent service for online

I decided to gamble but was worried about spending this much on shoes I could only get online. Thankfully the friendly and helpful staff at the Union Square shop where they were presumably shipped from were very proactive and patient in emailing back and forth with advice on how they have fitted other customers. In the end because of a broad foot with a high instep I got a 1/2 size up and they are perfect. It is as if fluevog could have designed Cindarella's glass slipper. They needed a tiny bit of breaking in and are now perfect. The also make my foot look surprisingly dainty and my ankles very shapely.

Love at first sight of my very first pair of Fluevogs! Thanks to my co-worker who introduced me to Fluevogs. Upon trying these amazing shoes on, they fit perfectly and I felt like I could conquer the world. I was also so impressed with Monika at the Haight store in SF who called me shortly after I placed my order to make sure I knew this style ran 1/2 size small. • No business ethics

I purchased the Prepares Guide clogs there and within 2 weeks the sole on one of them started to peel off in several places. The store assured me that this can be fixed. I waited almost two weeks and the fix was very sloppy and incomplete. In addition, the glue they put in there came off after one day of wear. Clearly, the shoes were defective. I took them to the store and the manager told me that she can't replace them. The staff there wasn't' very friendly either. When I came in first the manager was out running around having lunch at 5 p.m. and was told to come back. The guy who previously was very friendly didn't even bother to say hi. I felt as if it is my fault that the shoes fell apart. And, they sent me on my way with the defective shoes and no solution. But, they do guarantee their shoes. I simply got ripped of for $300. The only thing I could do is file a complaint with BBB. (:-&

  • Addendum to my previous review

I wore these for 2 weeks and on of them the tunite sole came of in several places. I contacted the store and the salespeople took for to a local shop for a repair. I got them back with less than acceptable result. The gap was still there but now stuck with glue! These were new and I would expect the soles to be done right. The excuse that they are hand-made doesn't justify the construction flaws. I am disappointed because it takes a long time for me to save for a pair of Fluevogs. I am not sure if I will purchase another pair from the store. The Amazon would have marked them defective and simply replaced them. I would expect the same from Fluevog.

  • My first vogs and I am in love

I've been wanting to try Fluevogs for a long time but I don't have a store in my city. I was hesitant to order online since my feet are a 5 1/2 and often times even the smallest size in shoes is too big, and I have a neuroma as well. But these shoes are so perfect when I saw them, I went for it in a size 6 red-orange. I LOVE them! To be honest, they are a little too big. If you have wide feet, maybe go half a size up but for normal width, size 6 fits snugly width-wise but there is definitely room in front of my toes. I put in an insole and because it's a mary jane with a thick, sturdy strap, it stays on and feels very comfortable and balanced. Best of all, it doesn't irritate and hurt my neuropathy. They were expensive, but hey - for actually comfortable and stylish heels, it's worth it. I feel awesome in these shoes. I've found myself trying to match outfits to this so I can wear them every day, so I think I need to get a black one as well. I am awaiting a black mini mary jane right now. I hope that also fits. I might be addicted already.

  • Podiatrist recommended

I just got my Prepare Guides in black. I initially got size 8 and at home after walking for a half an hour or so I decided these must go bigger. My toes didn't have enough room. So, I rushed to Portland Fluevog store for an exchange. I got an 8.5 and it fits perfectly (if you get a right size these are truly great0. I am very happy with them. I can't wear heels so I missed out on a lot of fashion shoes. Now, I can have one! Also, I found a link to podiatry shoe reviews and these are highly recommended for people even for people with foot problems such as bunions, etc. Isn't it great. I am waiting for more fabulous wearable styles for those who want a style but can't wear heels. The only thing: you must be careful since these are platform. So, be aware of turns and twists. Otherwise, fabulous.

These fit wonderfully. My feet are a bit wide, but these are don't pinch at all. I am a size 9, & found these true to size. I just bought these in red this afternoon, and love them so much. I fit an 8 1/2, which is my usual shoe size - often I need to size up in Fluevogs. Was sad not to be buying these in New York, but happy they are available in Auckland, New Zealand. So far I have worn them with turned up jeans, and they look great. I'm sure they'll also be perfect with a skirt. Raced home and showed them to my neighbour who screamed with envy and got off the phone immediately.

  • My go to shoe...

This is absolutely my favourite shoe ever. I have even had them on my feet for 24 hrs straight... from clinic to hospital and they are still sooooo comfortable. I have had women chase me down to ask where I got them! They fit my usual size perfectly and there was no breaking in period. The ankle boot fits exactly the same and is equally as comfortable. I have worn both the boots and the shoes for long nights of dancing and love love love how they feel to dance in. ( And yes, the extra inches in height is a BIG bonus ). I am eternally grateful to Brian at the Toronto store for suggesting these beauties to me.

  • A perfect every day shoe

I wear these almost every other day. I have a lot of other shoes (red, orange, green, yellow, you name it) in a variety of styles but these just go with anything. They're great to wear to work, wonderful to go out in, perfect with a pair of jeans - they just belong! Satisfied Smirk: ,-> add to the go with anything look the comfort of runners who can argue? They didn't need a moment to strectch, rather straight out of the box comfort.

  • oh baby, oh baby

I just wore my blue Prepares out of the store and already am basking in the admiring glances of fellow strollers. I'm a Fluevoger from way back and these are my new favorites. I wear a 9 in most styles but an 8.5 in these.

  • I'm in love!

These fit perfectly. I wear a size 8 in the "Lily Darling" and the same here. Perfect! I got these for work as I am on my feet the entire time I am at work. I love them! I feel like they were made just for me! I am a little worried that the heel pad may be short lived though. My "Lily Darlings" are built like tanks and these seem a bit more on the fragile side. Time will tell. I do love them and will definitely be getting another pair in a different color!

  • I LOVE LOVE these shoes, they fit great right away and were a pleasure to wear even during long tradeshow hours on concrete floors. However, I've owned this pair for about 3.5 months and they are already showing a lot of wear and tear. I need the heel caps replaced already (which i don't see online despite notes to the contrary) and the insoles seem to be breaking down really quickly. The first month or so I could wear these ALL day, walking a lot or standing a lot (I live in the city without a car so walking is a must for any shoe). I was so happy that these worked for me and was preparing to buy another pair. But now, after the same day of walking (and even shorter days) my feet are sore, the shoes don't have the same support, its like it started breaking down within only a couple months of wear. I expected a lot more for as much as these shoes cost, even if they were on sale. I bought these because I expected them to outlast cheaper shoes, so far they're failing. so sad because they are truly beautiful shoes.

  • Give these shoes a try!

I resisted these -- thought they looked bulky and off -- until I saw them on the feet of the April Vogunteer! Then I knew I had to go try them on. Well - they are now pair #9 in my collection and the MOST comfortable shoes I have ever owned! I did have to try a couple of pairs in the same size to get the fit just right -- but I am ever so glad I did!

Seriously, you can run in these like they are sneakers!

  • Pleasantly suprised!

I just purchased these shoes in black about a week ago from the Boston store, and I'm so happy with them! I was looking for a new pair of shoes for work, so it was important to find something that was comfortable to wear for a long period of time. I wasn't expecting to choose a pair of heels, but these feel surprisingly comfortable all day. They're fun and interesting, but conservative enough to wear in a business casual setting. I wear a size 7 shoe normally, and the size 7's fit perfectly. Overall a great purchase, and worth trying on!

  • You're invited to our wedding!

I love this shoe so much that I think I shall marry it! (MA is a state with marriage equality, so I think it might be possible!) The wedding could be as early as March or as late as December, as these shoes have a closed heel and can manage just about any season (we will have to take a long late honeymoon in the winter to some sunnier place, as I don't want to risk them in the deep snow).

Wearing them feels like walking on clouds -- both because they are comfy and because they make me feel so fabulous. I got them in red, and I've worn them every day since. First I started building outfits around them, and then I just figured the rest of the outfit would have to find a way to conform to my shoes' beauty and fineness, which apparently worked! Compliments abounded, and when they didn't, I knew it was because those around me were simply jealous.

I recommend sizing up, by the way. And have your lovely salesperson do a little stretching in the store if your foot needs it. Works like a charm and helps you avoid new shoe blisters. Then you can wear them for twelve hours and only have tired feet because any foot would be tired after standing and walking for that long.

  • Shoes that strut

I didn't intent on buying these after trying on 10 or so styles. I kept coming back to them, for comfort, for coolness. They are like old friends who just wait to be worn every day, go with everything, and get oodles of compliments. They are unlike every other shoe you've ever had, but a little bit of the best features in every shoe you've ever had. Welcome to my Flue family

  • Most comfortable shoe ever!!

Although I love all the Fluevog styles, my knees and ankles simply cannot handle some of them. I chose these for the extra height, but also because they seemed to have a sturdy heel. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my lovey blues. They are the cutest, most comfy shoes ever. I would tell you if they weren't ! I am definitely getting another pair in the Prepare family. I am usually 6.5-7 (on the wide side). I bought a pair of Calamity boots in 7 and now that they have loosened up they are a little big. I bought the Adelina in 7 and had to send back for 6.5...same thing with these. The 6.5 is a perfect fit, with our without a thin sock...not a lot of room to spare, but 7's were huge on me. Oh, one con: the strap. It's very tight...may be due to my high arch, and there's not a lot of room for an extra hole...otherwise, PERFECT

  • At last.

Allie at the Boston store got me to try these on some time ago, and at the time I was convinced that they weren't my style. However, the more I saw them the more I liked their unusual shape, and when I saw them in blue I fell totally in love. I wear a 9.5 in my Mini Lovers and Sugars, but a 9 in these fits perfectly. They're crazy comfortable right out of the box, too. I wore them all day after buying them and my feet feel totally fine - no sore spots or rubbing at all.

Thanks Allie! You were so right!

  • AMAZING

I *just* got these (as in, less than 2 hours ago) at the Gastown store in Vancouver, and I'm in love with them already. They were so comfortable and fun (and made me TALL!) when I put them on in the store that I had to have them. I'm going to have to wait to wear them outside until I spray them, but I'm definitely wearing these around the house tonight after work. Thanks, Fluevog! You make me feel (and look) like a rock star!

  • Gorgeous shoes & a gnome, too!

Since I have the Guides in blue and brown and love them, I decided I needed to change it up a bit and got this style in reddish-orange. The others fit in my true 7.5 but I needed an 8 in these for real comfort. And I was lucky enough to get a Flue-gnome, surprised there were any left on Christmas eve!

  • Kickin'

I love these shoes so much I want to wear them every day! The color is gorg (I have the blue), they are so funky-cool looking and they catapult even the most ordinary outfit into fashionforwardland. Like even a down vest, fleece jacket and jeans - seriously. They are are that cool.

  • Awesome!

These shoes are stunning and incredibly comfortable. I can't believe I'm wearing 3 inch heels! (trust me, this is a Very Big Deal for me, since I rarely wear them). Fluevog heels are clearly the only way to go for me. These also have a 70s vibe to them. It's funny, when Tanya first showed them to me, I was underwhelmed. That changed in a hurry when I slipped them on. I got them in blue and I simply love them. Thank you Tanya!

  • Most Original & Fabulously Functional!

Though I absolutely adore my friends knee high boots, my signature body part heels, my operetta malibrans and my wearever mercys, these new prepare leaders are just fabulous! I walk two miles to work in them which I can really only do with my friends and malibrans. The mercys begin to rub a spot on the side of my foot and I wouldn't even consider it with the heels. However, the prepare style is just wonderful. I my size is between a 5.5 and a 6, but I got a 6 in these which is perfect. I put some sheep's wool inserts in them and they are now very warm and cozy. A walk to work in the mid 30's was no problem at all. I'm just in love. Thank you John and contributors for making such a fabulous shoe. I also requested that you consider retailing here in Chattanooga. I'll keep my hopes up. @>-

  • I have two pairs of the Guides, and was surprised to find that these fit quite differently. The heel is wider than the Guides, and the toebox is more narrow! So sadly these did not work for me. Shoes in the same "family" can vary greatly in fit, so if you can, try them on before purchasing. Great shoes, just not at all consistent sizing.

  • Love, love, love

I looooooooooooooooove these shoes! I got the blue...which is a great shade that goes with everything. I sized up 1/2 from my normal because of the short toe box. They are comfortable right out of the box and I haven't taken them off my feet since I got them. I'm probably going to have to go get the boots soon.

  • Awesome Style

This is my fifth pair of fluevogs and they are just amazingly groovy. They are true to size, but error on the larger if you are between sizes as I wear a 5 in Operettas, 6 in wearevers, and a 6 in these. I live and work in the downtown so I do a lot of walking yet I need very classy and stylish shoes to wear with my suits. These totally fit the bill. Thanks for the comfy shoes John!

  • These are super comfortable and super rad. I get at least 5-8 compliments when I wear them! I love the platform and I don't feel like I am wearing heels I just feel 3 inches taller! I bought the navy ones, which look great with all my clothes this season. I highly recommend at least trying these on, you never know!
