A lucky find led to my favorite shoe

My sister found a pair of the Sandra Fellowships in a thrift shop. They were purple and navy and listed at $25 in near perfect condition. I don’t think the store owner knew what she had! My sister was kind enough to give them to me. They have been my favorite shoe since. Incredibly comfortable and elegant. I have worn them through all seasons and the vegan leather has held up wonderfully. I just took them to the cobbler to have the heel cap replaced as it was wearing thinner in some areas, but upkeep is to be expected with an a pair of shoes well loved. Truly lucky to have stumbled upon the Sandra Fellowship.

Love these- have the floral and the vegan. Please make more flats/sandal options like this for spring. I love his they slip on and off. Sizing up one half to one size necessary for me due to instep and length. I am normally a 9 or 9.5 but bought 9.5s and they are a bit small.

Juicy color and comfy shoe

I purchased the pink/red ones but really they are a bubblegum pink and juicy orange color. Each and every time I wear them, someone asks me where I got them! Super comfy and very fun with skirts and jeans. This one can get a bit sweaty inside in really hot weather due to it being mostly patent leather.

TOO SMALL

I am feeling the same way as the previous comments. I have been finding that the size 12's in most of the styles are running small and are probably better for an 11. Please please make these shoes bigger for us people with gigantic feet or more size 13's

Love these shoes!

I love the solid, it's just the right height - not too high but still fashionable. I usually wear a 6 but can do a wide 5.5, so the 6 was a fit for me, with enough room for thin socks. The vegan leather is soft and comfy.

Floral Sandra

Oh so Orange!

Actually, the orange and black really complement each other in the black vegan version, and it's a great colour combo for fall and Hallowe'en. I went up 1/2 a size for perfect fit and find them super comfortable; can wear them for hours. Now thinking about getting the floral which would also go well with fall colours.

Super light weight summer flats!

I bought in custom colourway denim and white from a shop in Manitoba that sells all the Fluevog’s. Super cute, but look quite sexy on, in how they are shaped to flatter the foot.

Works great as a summer flat with shorts, jeans, mid-thigh dresses/skirts, and pj’s.

They fit like a glove in my true street size. Leather is incredibly soft. But what surprised me most is how super light weight they are. Very comfortable! I wear them also as house slippers. Every Fluevog I own is much heavier. In spite of the little strap, they are slip on’s. Buckle them once for fit, and that’s it. And the little gun metal buckle is gorgeous.

The black with cream trim will be my next pair of this wonderful Fellowship family. It didn’t strike me as a great look until I put them on. I was looking for simple and easy, instead I found beauty and top comfort.

Beautiful shoes

Love this shoe; it’s stylish, classy, & cute!  I was looking for a cute shoe for my upcoming trip to Portugal that would be stylish & comfortable...and this is it! The style reminds me of the 1950’s I am a 7 1/2 in all the Vogs I have, but bought a size 8..I found them a bit too large, so returned them for a 7 1/2 which is perfect. Very happy with this purchase. Will add this to my many more fluevogs.

Sandras

Was really looking forward to receiving my new Sandra’s. I had read so many reviews and was impressed they were the Air Canada uniform shoe. I needed a good flat shoe for work that I can walk around in. My Sandras arrived this afternoon, delivered to my office. They fit beautifully and were so comfortable. However I noticed after just two hours that the beige leather trim had split on the top of the foot. I’m so sad. I live 16 hours away from the nearest store so can’t just pop in.

Too small - Order up

Super disappointed to have ordered and tried on a size 12 today that fit more like a 10.5. Seems to be the trend with Fluevog to size everything down over the last 3 years, another disappointment that makes me feel like size 12 ladies are being abandoned by Fluevog. Definitely size up with these!

This is my THIRD pair of Sandra! I wore both other pairs to the point that my toes were poking out of the bottom and I replaced the heel three times on my last pair - the leather of the shoe never looked old or worn. You could run a marathon in these shoes, they are worth every penny. Why can't you make a beige pair?! I need something lighter in color for summer!

Great shoes, but ...

I bought the teal and purple ones for work shoes. They are perfectly comfortable, except the toes scuffed almost immediately and they look years old already. Not sure if it has to do with the colour, but am reluctant to get another pair in case the same thing happens. These shoes have never been worn outside.

So nice bought them twice, but I have a pro tip...

GET THE HEELS REPLACED. Immediately. Go to a cobbler and replace the extra soft fluevog heel with something a lot, lot harder. I didn't do this with my first pair and the heel was simply no match for New York pavement. Other than that, I love these shoes.

Comfy, Cute, Fun!

Oh my! These are one of my fave shoes to wear! They do run a tad small, so go up a half size from your "normal" size. I love the colors! I own a ton of teal and purple clothes so these get a lot of use. They are good for work or running around town. I haven't experienced any of the other issues some people have mentioned but this shoe family is perfect for my feet! I can't get some of the others to fit so I guess that's how it goes.

If you are near a Fluevog shop, be sure to stop in to see which families are right for you and which are not. The staff at all the stores I have visited (Boston, New York, and both San Francisco stores) are so helpful and well-versed in the shoes. Just a terrific experience! Many thanks to you all!

A definite must-have in your collection!

I always dislike wearing flats. Bought these as my functional shoe for a trip to Europe. I LOVE them! Sandra had quite the adventure. I am typically a size 6.5, high arch/short toes, and bought a size 6 as they were the last pair on sale. Stretched perfectly right away- no painful break-in period. I'd buy another colour and may order my regular size or stick with the 1/2 size down. Perfect running around shoe....and super cute as well!

My new fav!

I LOVE THESE SHOES. The toe box was a bit tight at first (wide feet), but after stretching out a bit these fit like a glove. I wear 7 1/2 in non-vogs and the 7 1/2 in these are perfect. I work on my feet all days in these beauties without any problems. LOVE them. Thank you John!!

One shoe bigger than the other

This is my third pair of Fluevogs, so very excited to get them. Only thing is one shoe is a lot smaller than the other one, even though they claim to be the same size. I thought I just needed to walk them in, but, nope, the right foot is still too tight. This has never happened before with my other Fluevogs, which I also bought online as not many distributor in Sydney (if any?!).

Really wanted to love them, but

When I saw these cuties online, I bought them right away. But, my heel kept slipping out and adding extra holes wouldn't work because the strap is positioned to close toward the toe of the shoe. I need a strap that is set back closer to the ankles. I have a low profile foot (bony/no meat to them), narrow heel and average width forefoot.

Flapping Sandra's

I forgot to mention in my review that after a few weeks of wearing my Sandra's that they starting flapping/gapeing at the sides when I walked (they must have stretched a bit). I read about this on a blog and they suggested getting a pair of innersoles to fix the problem. I purchased a pair of innersoles and put them in the shoes and tightened the straps. This fixed the problem. No more flapping when I walk.

I was having a blue day and needed some flats.

I got the Sandra in the Blue and Navy and also the blue Rosy boots. This is my first pair in the fellowship family.

I was looking for some flats to wear when not wearing my guides and boots and I needed a Fluevog for the weekend to wear with jeans. I e-mailed my enabler Jamie in Minneapolis and she advised me to go down half a size in the Sandra.

I got the Sandra in 8.5. I am usually a 9 in Fluevogs and a 8.5/9 in other brands.

They fit perfectly straight out of the box. It did take 3 wears of a few hours each to soften up the leather but now I can wear them all day with no trouble and walk and walk with no blisters.

I love the colours and the colour of the sole. Not having a store near me I find the reviews extremely helpful so I have decided I need to write reviews for my Fluevogs to help others decide. You won't be disappointed with the sandra. They are a great in between season shoe. I am going to keep an eye on what new colours come out.

i took the plunge

I am so happy with my first fluevog purchase. Being a rookie i bought a sale pair an d was in shock over how incredibly comfortable these shoes are. I got the lilac and aqua. Cute. One week or so later went back to the web for the full priced black and white. Omg. Fabulosity. I am so happy with these shoes. I wear an 8 in most shoes and got the 8.5 as recommended by the fit expert and it was the right thing to do. It's freezing cold here but i have something to look forward to wearing in March or so. The lilac and aqua ones scream Easter shoes!! I'm so happy if i have not mentioned that before.

Incredibly Comfortable

It takes about 3 days to break the foot-bed into the shape of your feet, but once that is done, the shoe fits PERFECTLY. I have a narrow foot so I tighten the cross-strap quite a bit to keep the shoe secure. Perfect heights, love the blue/aqua/navy color. I usually take a 10.5 in Vogs, and this shoe was no exception. Highly recommend this improved alternative to athletic shoes.

My go-to shoes for days when I need to be ready for anything but want to look great

My D-width foot necessitated going up half a size from my typical 9, resulting in a very comfie, roomy fit.

I generally wear my Vogs to work to add some fun to an otherwise pretty traditional professional wardrobe. These are my go-to shoes when I've been wearing heels too many days in a row or know that I'm going to be on my feet a lot. The rubber sole adds bounce to my step and security on slippery floors or wet pavement.

Perfect combination of comfort and style!

I recently bought my first pair of Sandras after ogling them online for ages. For once, I actually wore my normal size! Usually I'm at least a 1/2 size larger in Fluevogs. The leather seemed a bit stiff and I worried that I'd get blisters without socks, but a few hours wandering around downtown dispelled my fears. Their adjustable strap is perfect for my narrow feet. I'd happily buy more colors, but my wallet needs time to recover!

Another fabulous purchase

I love these shoes and they have turned into my go-to-shoe for the fall. I was able to purchase them at the NYC store and sales staff took great pains to help me decide on the best size. Still, when I first wore them they were very tight across the instep. However, I can now tell you that after three wearings they are feeling perfectly broken in. Lastly I will also add that I have become convinced that beautifully made shoes like Fluevogs are worth every penny. I recently bought a pair of cute but less expensive shoes and I can feel the difference in almost every step I take. Fluevogs not only look great but they feel like an extension of my body rather than a trap that I can't wait to release myself from. Perhaps I'm being a bit dramatic but I'm pretty passionate about shoes these days and Fluevogs are at the top of my list. I visit the store every time I'm in NYC.

Love these shoes! But...

I love, love, love these shoes! From the minute I tried them on I fell in love and knew that I would wear them every day. Then...on day 3 of wearing them...I noticed some flaking of the leather on the outside heel (where the cute "F" is) so I walked them into the store where the guy looked at the shoe, put some sort of cream on it (I asked him if the "F" would change colour? He said no. It did.) and sent me on my way. So now I've got one vibrant "F" and one sad little "F" with the flaking still showing, which makes me sad. But I still love these shoes and am still wearing them every day, albeit with a little less kick in my step.

perfect flat

Love them! A sweet, but still stylish, fun and cute black flat. Goes great with jeans, dresses, mini skirts, long black coats, and anything else I can think of. I wear them without socks and can walk for hours. Great for a musuem walk because they are really quiet too. Cannot say enough about how lovely these are.

These are my 13th pair of Fluevogs, and boy do I feel lucky! I needed a good pair of walking shoes, and I'm sick to death of wearing tennis shoes, so these sensible beauties will be my work and sight-seeing shoes (London in a couple of weeks!). I never need to break in my Fluevog heels, but these did take about three days of gradual wearing in with socks. I didn't get blisters or anything dramatic, but the leather was very stiff when I started. By the third day I wore them to the mall and they were all set. They've molded really nicely to my feet and feel great, while offering a lot of support. Anthony stretched out a bit of a tight area before I left with my new babies and that really jumpstarted my breaking in. I really appreciate how well he knows the shoes - I can always count on him to help me get the right pair (Or, when I'm feeling flush, pairs!). I can't wait to prance over the London streets in walking shoes that aren't ugly athletic shoes!

So Cute, I Bought 2

My black Sandras were the perfect alternate shoe for my trip to London and before they disappeared I decided I needed them in orange, too. Problem--black ones were size 8, and they loosened quite a bit, so when only a 7.5 was left I went for it--and they are going to be my perfect summer shoe! The orange is deep and quite lovely.

My favorite shoes. Ever.

I own two pairs of Sandras. One in turquoise/yellow and one in grey/red.

I love them so much, they are comfortable like whoa and never fail to get complimented by strangers.

I am a true 10.5 in non-vogs and when I bought the turquoise pair there was only 11.5's left, so I went for it. Total victory.

They have gotten wider through wearing, but that's totally fine with me.

I'm a total Fluevog convert and am consistently disappointed when I try to go out for some instant gratification shoe shopping (no Fluevog store or retailer near me). John's shoes have forever altered my standards. Thanks for making amazing shoes!

The jury is still out

Loved these in store, left without buying and when I returned I had to go to a second location to get my size. I showed up with a pair of socks to try them on and fit well. SOLD!! Now that I've started wearing them they are definitely tighter in the toes than in the heel so probably just need to break them in a bit (I hope). I took just 2 pairs of shoes on my trip to London last week; my tried-and-true Coventry boots and the Sandra, which I bought at the last minute and didn't even break in, yet they were perfect right out of the box for hours on end. I'm usually a 7.5 but the 8 was just right with thin socks. Got them in black, figured with all my other colorful ones it doesn't hurt to have a good old black pair and I was right! They will get good use.

no matter how far you roam.

Not since Dorothy's red slippers has a pair of shoes been this magical for traveling. I teach a study abroad class in London and Paris; we frequently walk 11-15 miles a day on this trip. At the last minute I felt like I did not have the right pair of shoes: I ordered the Sandra's a week before we left. There was no break in time-yet my feet never blistered, they gave me great support and the style is so cute-I wear them with absolutely everything.

Happy But Pouting

Saw the turquoise/yellow Sandras online and the word that sprang to mind was "Covet!" I know that I wear an 8 1/2 in the Fellowships, and was disappointed to see that no half-sizes were available in that color combo. While in Chicago recently, I bought a pair in black/beige, and they're comfy and wonderful...but not as wonderful as they would be if they were turquoise and yellow! Please don't leave us half-sizers out in the cold, bereft of technicolor shoe goodness!

I LOVE LOVE these shoes. I have them in black with the pick trim and wear them to work more than any other shoe. I am the AGM of an $8M year restaurant and am on my feet for miles and hours every day. I love these shoes so much that I have re-soled them and had the inside relined. Love my Sandra

My husband wanted to buy me a new car, instead I choose a pair of Sandra shoes. They were shipped to me in 2 days from Vancouver to Victoria, last week. Excellent professional service from the people on Granville by the way. I opened my Sandra with such anticipation and joy. I slipped them on for my husband to enjoy them as much as I and i've been wearing them since (except to bed). They fit perfectly. It is like walking on water, flying high without the wind and making me smile. I make sure people see the soles while I'm sitting down so they know they are Fluevog. Merci I love them. Next time it will be a pair of red boots still instead of the new car.

First pair and I'm addicted

I love these shoes, they're your basic Mary Jane with a fun look. Berry, from the San Fran store, suggested I go up a half size and he was absolutely correct. I wear an 8.5, but orderd the 9 and they're perfect with no break - in time. I've worn them with skirts and slacks. old friend of Mary-Jane...

I am a fan of Mary-Janes, and these are no exception. I love the beige detail on the shoe, so it's not just an "ordinary" black shoe. They go with everything I wear! Not only are they stylish, but comfortable as well (some times it's hard to find a shoe that looks good, as well as comfortable!). I haven't seen the John Fluevog shoes stocked here on Australia (yet), which makes them even more unique as I happily skip on the sidewalk...

love 'em

I bought these shoes 2 years ago for work. My job requires I stand for 7-9 hours each day. These shoes are great!! Not only are the classically beautiful but they are oh so comfortable.
