The next chapter of Streetvogs takes us to the neighbourhoods of Denver! Our friend and photographer @sarabeetsphotography will be taking over both @Streetvogs and @Fluevog Instagram accounts to show us the ways of this Fluevogian city through her unique lens. Here’s a bit about Sara in her own words:
I grew up in a small town in northern Illinois and moved to the Denver area when I was twenty to finish school at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. The day I solidified my decision to study photojournalism was my first time at a Colorado Rockie’s Opening Day game. Not only am I a huge fan of baseball and had tickets of the event, our photojournalism assignment for that day was to go around downtown Denver photographing the Opening Day festivities and fans. I instantly fell in love with the art.
Now I work as a freelance photographer for the school I graduated from and have had many exciting subjects and opportunities with my career. The Mile High City is the perfect place for my curious, high-energy and adventurous nature and I have met and photographed some truly amazing and vibrant people in this beautiful city.
My curiosity led me to the John Fluevog store in Denver when it first opened while I was still a college student! I asked to take a few photos of their fantastic shoes for a school project and it has led to a three year journey of photographing the store’s success. Enjoy diving into my photos and get lost in the views of Denver and its people for a while!
